Hi! for capture Milky Way and sunrise in row what setting do you suggest?
@MattiaBicchi

Hi! If you have a standard intervalometer, I would keep with the Milky Way interval all the time, so 20-30 sec. If you have a LRT pro timer, you can ramp the interval to get a longer sunrise. So starting with 30sec intervals and finish with 5sec.
You are really inspiring...can you help with shooting a timelapse for a flower that takes 4-5hrs to bloom...what should be the shooting interval and the number of shots to be taken...Thanks

Thank you so much! If you want a 35 sec timelapse I would shoot with a 15/20 sec interval and shoot around 900 pics.
Hi, what interval would you use for the moon setting ? Would you also use AP mode as it will be going from light to dark ? Thanks.

Thank you! For moonrise or set I’d use a 1 second interval if you are shooting with a long focal lens. With a wide lens a 2 or 3 seconds interval. I use Av mode but you need to trust your camera that can do a good job on the exposure and do a bit of work on LRtimelapse to smooth out the transition.
glad I found your channel. Lots of good content. One question, when shooting astro, are you saying the exposure is 20 seconds and the time in between photos is 5 seconds long before the shutter is triggered again?

Thank you so much Ariel! Yes, I set basically a 25s interval between shoots. Depending if you have a faster write camera/card it can be even less time after the long exposure.. sometimes I have a 23s interval, so 20s exposure and 3s of ‘buffer’..

@@MattiaBicchi Interval is a confusing term. So a 25 second interval means exposure time (20 SEC) + buffer (5 SEC). So for Astro if I'm shooting a 20 second exposure a buffer f 3-5 seconds should be fine?

Yes, Correct! 👌
isn't the interval the double of your shutter speed because of the 180degree rule? so if my shutter is at 30s it would be 1 minute during each photo right?
@MattiaBicchi
Жыл бұрын
Hi! That’s a rule for video recording, the 180 degree rule can be applicable on TL when you have short interval or SS, but with long exposure (3sec + ) I wouldn’t follow it, because will make your timelapse shoot way longer and faster. Hope that makes sense..
What interval do you recommend for solar eclipse?

I would go with 1 sec intervals, cos is very fast, I think it only last a few minutes

Ok thanks...but I'm going to want the whole event. Apparently it's around 1 and a half hours. I would like a one 30 second video of it all ... what do you think?...

Mhh I see, if you are shooting wide.. maybe 3/4 seconds. If you are shooting long and tracking still 1/2 sec max.. you will end up with tons of pics, but is you can speed it up in post if needed.

If the interval is too slow, 5/8 sec, the actual eclipse would last so little..
