BEST INTERIOR PROTECTION FOR YOUR CAR | UV Blocking Interior Dressing
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In todays video i will be testing out 5 different interior UV Protection Dressings to see which one is the easiest to apply, which has the best depth of color, and which looks the most natural. Keeping your cars interior looking its best and protecting it from the elements is very important. Ive used many of these in the past, but ive never done a direct comparison of them to see which one works the best in my opinion. So i will be comparing Koch Chemie Top Star, 303 Protectant. Armorall, Carglo Clean and Dress, and Meguiars Ultimate Protectant to see which ones outperforms the rest....ENJOY!!!

The Koch Chemie is by far the best interior dressing I’ve used in the 15 years I’ve been detailing! Leave the absolute perfect factory finish and smells awesome👍
Thank you for tyring out and reviewing our 303 Protectant product!

Thanks Josh for another great video and for giving this old man and others your knowledge of car detailing
I've been using various 303 products for years....never been disappointed.
Living in FL, the most important aspect of a protectant is longevity. With the sun constantly beating down on the dash, it’s essential that I have the UV protection, and to have it Last at least 4 weeks. I mostly use 303, but would definitely try the Koch Chemie. I use some of their other products, and they’re flawless.
Thanks Josh for another great video comparison, appreciate what you do.

Nice review looking forward to long term results. Been using 303 for maybe 18 months and its been fine. Have been using inside and out but maybe going to switch to cerakote outside that I saw in another of your reviews it looks like good stuff. 🙂
Another great video as always
Great video once again. I’m a 303 guy. But was impressed with all of them. Even Armor All has come around a bit.
Thank you! This really helped, I want my interior looking shiney, clean and new 😁
I have to say yes Armor All did tend to crack dashes back in the day at least on my mom’s car, this is a great comparison Josh 👍😁
I used 303 for awhile never streaks for me very happy with the product
Good job my friend!!! perfect video!!

I like a factory look also. However I don't want my car to smell fruity so I tend to steer clear of products with those scents. I've been using Megs for a few years now, I've been happy with it. Love these head to head videos, I really value your opinion on products.
Thanks for sharing your expertise with everyone. I just picked up a McKillans stubby with swivel and Black Max 35' hose. As pertains to this video, I use 303 Aerospace Protectant (not glossy) and Vinylex (glossy).
303 is my absolute go to for everything in my truck that isn't leather and all the seats in my boat. Absolutely fantastic stuff!
Great comparison!
Great knowledge!
Great video brother, good information.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
another great video
cant wait to see results after some time. i also vote for griots in future testing. budget friendly, and in stock locally
303 protection for me. I use it on the interior, and even the rubber on tires.
Love your videos. Have been using a lot of the product and tools you review. Here you forgot to add that applicator sponge which I was interested in.
I truly enjoy your videos ❤❤ what do you recommend to clean the windshield on the inside mine always looks streaky 🙏
i like your reviews there good
Im a big fan of the 303 and the Turtle Wax Inside Job
I have to say, I bought the 303 and I think it is too prone to streaking for my liking. I bought Adam’s Interior detailer and liked it way more than I thought. I like the minimal amount of shine it provides to the finish and it’s great if you need a light clean on a well maintained interior.
Meguiars quick interior detailed is the best OTC interior product to use. Smells good, oem finish, UV protection, cheap and readily available. Can use on just about every interior surface and screens come out prefect

I use the 303 on my truck's BakFlip cover. It does a fantastic job and my neighbor came by and asked why I got a new cover for my truck. I told him I just use 303 all the time. He is now using it.

I use 303 not only on the dash of my car, but on rubber seals around my house.
I have a video idea you should make a video where you show all of your favorite product brands for all different sections so like what’s your favorite soap, favorite wheel, dresser, tire cleaner, rim cleaner, detail spray, etc. It would also be very helpful because I noticed you use a multitude of different products.
Bro...I love the content...but I use technicians choice inside and out thanks to you. So modern cars have materials like leatherette or actual leather that are coated. The detail spray works great 👍
Great vid Josh looking forward to the updates!

Love the channel. Would love to see Griots make more appearances on your channel. They’re a local company for me and it’s my go-to for most things detailing related, though, always curious to see how it stacks up against other stuff.

Yup also, Griots is at local auto parts stores here in San Diego they have shelves of griots products.
FWIW, I used original Armor-All on my '73 Triumph TR6 starting in 1974. As of 1987 when I sold it, it had no cracking on the dash. I wish I still had it.
I use CG Total Interior but as a light cleaner not so much as a "dressing". I do use 303 for the dressing look buuut I have noticed a bit of dusting. The KC Top Star and Carglo do look good and if they have anti-static properties, even better. Thanks!!
U are the GOAT!!!!!
CarGlo fire shine is awesome for inside and out
You should do best interior cleaners, especially with the CarGlo products. Looking for a good interior cleaner or APC. Thanks Josh

Please try wax shine leather nourish!!! Include it in these videos
Thank you. I was just looking for a matte/satin finish cleaner and found your video. Ever heard of or tried sonax matte dashboard cleaner? Was there a follow up results video? Thx!
Have you reviewed cleaners and dressing for vinyl convertible tops? My 1973 Buick centurion has the original vinyl convertibletop
Thanks for the thorough video. Now if we could only validate manufacturer claims of UV protection.. 303 is great, currently use Mckees Graphene Interior Shield. I'm intrigued by the Koch Chemie.

Hey Josh. What do you think of Kcx Ts on the steering wheel. Also do u have a link to those applicator pads
What’s your take on mothers VLR. I love this stuff. Matte finish. Good scent. Not greasy and repels dust
I'd like to see a head to head with your go to Technicians Choice...
Josh que piensa tu sobre ocupar e VPR de chemical guys para El tablero porque yo tengo casi 2 años ocupándolo siempre para e tablero y el baúl del carro per también lo utilizo en las llantas
I got a pro flow pressure washer from chemical guys and wanted to upgrade the hose but don’t know what kind of quick connection I need to fit in the machine and the wand that came with it
What are your thoughts about using Top Star on Ford's ActiveX seat material?
Hey Josh appreciate all the work you put into these videos. I use technicians choice for interior, does that have any UV protection or can I use both the technicians choice with one of these? Thanks!

The 2 products that I use regularly are the 303 protectant and also Chemical Guys Total Interior. I tend to use 303 on the dash where the sun hits hardest, and then Total Interior on everything else inside (steering wheel, center console, and my faux leather seats...because Tesla...lol).

What do u use on rubber and black trim exterior?
Do a video on the best way to clean a white Tesla interior. thanks
I’ve been using vrp by chemical guys for about a year now because I can use it for exterior trim and interior protectant, I’ve been looking for a cheaper one that can be used for exterior and interior like vrp.
what’s a good like mat non slip product so it doesn’t look faded?
So, what's the best way to initially clean the surface prior?
Great video Josh. Which type of interior dressing and UV protection is the best while economical is one of the things I’m struggling in my business at the moment. Wondering what’s the difference between the car glow and their Aqua Shine as well I think they have a Super dressing? A few of my clients like the Shiny finish from VRP. But I hate the bad glare reflection once the sun hits the dash.
I have Meguiar's Ultimate interior cleaner. I haven't used it yet. My late cousin gave me his father's Camry to me. I'm the 4th owner of the Camry. The Camry is a 2000 Camry LE. My cousin's father was a cigar smoker so was his grandson. So what I did was I took a wet paper towels and ran over everything that was vinyl. All this brown tar came off just with wet paper towels. The dashboard has faded. Doors not so much. The Camry as a whole needs alot of work. It's a challenges but I aim to restore the Camry as much as I can. I'm a beginner detailer. I keep my interior as clean as possible. Nothing stays in the Camry of any importants because I live in a crime area. I probably will stay with Meguiar's interior cleaner. Thanks much for your video.

Hi, did you have the update from the product test?
I like Mags hyper dressing...its water based, can be diluted, use inside or outside and is also UV...idk how much and maybe some of the products you mentioned may have more UV protection is it but Hyper Dressing is very versatile.

Hey man love your content. Just had an out there question though, never see any Shine Supply products on your channel. Idk if theres a reason for it but I’ve used there stuff for a while and I find there chemicals to be far superior to pretty much every other brand.

Can you dilute the Koch Chemie TS?
I know there are tons of interior cleaners out there but you should’ve use chemical guys VRP!!
Where is the link on how to make the Cleaning mixer?
So whats better, Top Star or Leather Star, and whats the difference?
❤️❤️❤️🙌
what about feel of the panel after applied?
Will the 303 be safe on leather seats and around door panels ?
Hey Josh, I've found ArmorAll to vapor over time onto the windows. Do like 303 results but a dust magnet. Hmmmm.
@imjoshv

Try Koch Chemie Top Star or CarGlo Clean and dress. Both have anti static properties and carglo has told me that they dont have any off gassing type of effect on windows
can you dilute the 303? If so what’s the ratios
which is better the 303 or Technician's Choice?
What about Gyeon Preserve???
Dawn Powerwash is great for auto interiors
The dash (notorious for cracking) on my '88 IROC is nearly flawless (a few minor scrathes), For the first few years I used Armor All and then switched to a Turle Wax protectant for a few years. (The TT was a clear spray which came in a clear bottle--it left a very glossy finish.) Then for many years I used Meguiars and or Turtle. Of course, I also always put a windshield screen protector when parked in the sun.
@CC_Marauder

Maybe you should just worry about shining that gold chain around your neck that people can see easily since you wear a tank top to go with that T-top IROC ca. mid-80's.
Didn’t get through the whole vid, but did you throw PERL on the list?
Is Top Star water based and is it dilutable?
Can you dilute top star?
Are these “interior” vinyl wrap safe?
The Turtle 🐢 Wax brand Protactant is slept on, it works extremely well and it's not expensive at all

@miggz5595
Жыл бұрын
@IMJOSHV - Car Detailing and Reconditioning Tips it's the inside and out Protactant yellow label, works well for the exterior plastic trims aside from the dash and other surfaces
Something to take into consideration maybe in a better test, see which stands to the test of time. Armor All has a pretty bad rep. I use meguiars but I`m looking to upgrade the products I use on my cars I plan to keep them for a pretty long time and want to take the best care I can. One of my cars is a 1999 Rav4 5 door version and it was badly treated by its previous owners so I want to restore as much as possible and keep it nice, its a really nice car. So maybe test which one lasts the longest? which one will actually protect and restore the dash instead of just covering it with some oil compound and make it shine or make it look better for a moment? I don`t like the idea of taking so long to clean and detail my car interior plastic just to have it with dust sticking to it and/or the product fading after just a couple of days (which is what I feel that happens with Meguiars)

Can top star be used on steering wheels and floor mats?
@alexandrosbakushi6159
8 ай бұрын
The best for the steering wheel is to not use any protectant because they can add lubrication and that's dangerous. Use cleaner only. As for the mats I also don't recommend it for the same reason but you can do whatever works for you.
Armor All causing dashes to crack is a myth. I used it from the time I started driving on some vehicles and have never noticed that the dash in those vehicles cracked any faster, or more than work vehicles I had that never had any protectant used on them. I am inclined to think the cracking issue was much more related to the fact that dash covers on basically all vehicles in the 70s & 80s were made of crappy vinyl that was WAY inferior to the materials now being used to manufacture dash covers in new vehicles.
Where can I get those pads you were using?
