Hey :) This is a really helpful video. As a constructive critic, I'd say it would be nice you add screenshots or screenviews of you using both so we can actually SEE what you are talking about. It also makes the visuals more dynamic, which is a bit more entertaining and will definitely help keep the audience engaged throughout. Thank you for the help with choosing apps. I'll definintely be subscribing !

Hey thanks for the info! I was using and trying out later then Brian, CEO of Sprout Studio talked about Planoly and I was interested to get started. I was a little overwhelmed with LATER and I like how you described it. I think I will stick to Planoly to really get myself going on one platform and see how I do and then get more advanced.

Awesome! Yes, its totally a personal preference. Both are great platforms its all about consistency with whichever one you choose :)

Starting to play with these and to figure out if they are effective for incorporating reels in the schedule? Or use it as a placeholder in the app to see the look of the feed including Reels

Hey! Yes, it would be more of a placeholder. Both platforms haven't added a Reel's function yet, but if you batch recorded your Reels you could upload them to your main feed to see how they fit in with the rest of your content.

hey! thank you so much for this video, very helpful. I am currently in a dilemma to try out LATER. I used Planoly for about a month but really missed a lot of features so I upgraded to a paid plan which was $9p/m. Now, makes me think if LATER is that better to pay almost double the price ($15 p/m)? I think I will still give it a go for a month to feed my curiosity :)

Yes for sure, that is one nice feature they should steal from Planoly :)

heads up, you pushed all your voice audio to the left channel. try to dual amplify to hear it on both channels while you edit.

For Instagram, I personally like Later the best :)

do any of them schedule to reels yet or not yet, i know tiktok has its own scheduler thing that works fine but cant edit video if there more then a minute, but i cant get scheduleing for reels be sick to get any tips

There live chat is pretty good. That is what I have used in the past and they get back to me rather quickly.

With the mentions, can you only get mentions for public profiles or does it show you tags from private accounts too?

That is a good question - I believe with private accounts you need to be friends with someone to have the tag apply but I would definitely test this out as Instagram is always changing their settings and each individual person can change their tagging settings as well.

Hi, so i opted with Planoly bc of the UX design but now that I'm actually getting ready to schedule my posts and reels it's horrible... There's still manual work involved. I was hoping it would all be automatic once a user saves/uploads all the info/data. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or this is just how the app is built.

There have been some updates to Planoly I believe but I believe you can auto-publish to a business account on Instagram. You definitely can on Later.

It has been a long time since i checked out that software, so I am not sure I could make a fair comparison. When i first started out i tried prob over 20 different softwares and always went back to later.

Do either app or can you think of any app that you could schedule a post with more than one photo? The problem I’m having is that most of my posts are of products and include more than one photo but none of the scheduling app seem to be able to post those kind of posts.

Later lets you do carousel posts with multiple photos you just need to select more than one image and drag them onto the calendar.

Awesome, and yes you will have to have the push notification sent to your phone. At least it saves the caption and hashtags for you.

Great video and helpful but your sound is only coming from R so if you've got headphones on, its only going in the right side and really distracting... (i tested other videos and sound and its not my headphones)

How do you record something in such a way that you all of your audio goes only to the right channel except for the clicking noises and music and stuff? It’s really difficult on my ears to the point I can’t even watch this (fwiw I use headphones…)

Planoly also does not support uploading videos in free version

Either would work! I would sign up for both free versions and play around to see which one you like better.

No, absolutely not. They are both certified partners with Instagram.

Why I don't like Later: They limited the size of the pictures! This is really annoyed

Planoly also has only certain size images available for auto-posting; also you can't auto-post carusel on Planoly.
