@@WillWildsOutdoorAdventures thank you! I've seen other vids that show operation but for some reason this really showed me how different the experience is vs Dino fuel Similar first time I saw a guy in his silent suv driving thru the forest..it's pretty powerful stuff

I have an 8 ft Walker Bay plastic formed dinghy I use for my Pearson 26 sailboat and all I have is a 31 lb thrust trolling motor on it and a set of oars. Just got the trolling motor last year, before that it was just me, the dinghy and the oars... great workout.

Ha yeah man I found that the hard way after pushing my battery to far not bad only an hour of rowing as dusk lol. You do much fishing was thinking of doing a lure video

Yeah but it has a lot to do with the activity of the water, still days are best but that goes for all boats. I really do love this thing & this style of boat, tons of fun

Hello!! (one Question)?? Would you take this boat out about a mile on the ocean? My guess is (not)!! because I have the Catalina is 12.6 and the trolley motor does not have the power to take me in the ocean about a mile mark and then bring me back to the beach, so I am trying to buy a outboard motor the Honda 5hp 15'' short shaft. and this will take me there safely and bring me back. but for one thing, yes!! you did a good video I appreciate the effort. Thanks a lot.

Absolutely but it would have to be gas, it's quite a durable boat. BUT never take it in the ocean with an electric motor with low power, even light winds can make it hard to get back. It's a great purchase you will have a ton of fun. If you can swing it get the wheels I hate dragging it around, would be a lot easier with wheels.

Nice video. I ordered the 10 foot Santa Cruz drop stitch floor vs the plastic you suggested because it's 30 pounds lighter which I think is a big advantage lifting it around and assembling it but the cost about 300 more. I also got the 35 lb electric engine and a 55 ah which should work find and save me a couple hundred. Can't wait for it to arrive. I didn't get the bag for now. I did get the wheels so I can roll it down the ramp. I got a bimini top too for 140 bucks. Nice area. Where is it?

Man you will have so much fun! The wheels will make it a lot easier wish I had them & this is Eastern Washington at Osyoos lake. One tip with the engine is to get to know the battery before you go to far away, I need to review mine I have two from them & they are both great but you do lose power pretty quick when it gets low. Out of the 5 bars of battery life it has make sure you save x2 of them for going home. That being said I've got over 100 miles on mine with no problems, keep out of the weeds & you will be fine :) Let me know how it goes!

@@WillWildsOutdoorAdventures Beautiful area. Good tip with the battery. I'm in Port St. Lucie and will go upstream the first couple trips. I also noticed online that you can extend the battery life from 1.5 hours to 6 hours depending on how much throttle you give it so I'll take that into consideration too.

How much it weight?

Would you feel comfortable taking this boat a half mile to a mile offshore.?? I live down in Newport Beach California and go out towards the Breakwater and fish. If you feel comfortable with this please let me know

Yeah man but only with a stronger motor, mine is good for lakes but on windy days man you have to have it on full speed to move in 20mph winds. The boat is very light so wind pushes it way more, I would only go to sea myself in a gas motor. With an electric motor there is a good chance you won't how the power left to get out of the water before the storm pushes in. Being out in the wind like that though taught me to move around slower literally on speed 1 or 2 & save the power for when you need it. With these motors the more juice left in the battery the faster it goes, so you really don't want to be caught even in a mild storm with even medium power. That being said I've got over 200 miles on my motor it's a champ & the boat has been used 59 times so far without an fails. It's a tank. You could even tow a smaller inflatable for gear
