Best in National Costume - Miss Universe Philippines 2024 NatCos Competition
On the night of April 28, The province of Sultan Kudarat really wowed us with an amazing show in the National Costume Competition of Miss Universe Philippines 2024 with the theme "Philippine Flora and fauna". The stage and production were top-notch, and it is evident that a tremendous amount of thought and attention to detail went into every aspect. I must say, Sultan Kudarat is undoubtedly the best host province we've seen so far! They left us truly impressed, and I want to give a big shoutout to the incredible production team behind this phenomenal event. I am absolutely in awe and lost for words.
Taking the top 3 spots for the best national costumes are Miss Southern California, Miss Iloilo City, and Miss Tacloban. These ladies truly stood out with their exceptional and visually striking costumes that captured the essence of their respective hometowns.

Di pa ako maka move on, Gagam Queen Alexie Brooks! At mahirap ata! Grabe payyyy! Congratulation Alexie on being one of the best national costume! 1. NOSTALGIC Brings back childhood memories. 2. VERY ALEXIE I knew it that she would be on the fauna side and not on the flora side. In every opportunity that she is given to atleast at a minimum, show androgyny, she'll! 3. UNIQUELY TAILORED FOR THE ALEXIE BROOKS Something I envisioned her donning. 4. UNEXPECTED Hands down to the all ILONGGO concept and costume directors. I believe in the HEARTS THAT were put in this piece. Ramdam na ramdam ko. 5. ARTISTRY Detail oriented, product of hard labor and the intricacies of each and every part of the costume. 6. LOVE LOCAL The costume was a brainchild of the Ilonggo national costume designer, Sir Tata Blas Pinuela and all the unsung creatives of Iloilo City. It's an overall I-L-O-I-L-O representation. I can see the materials are top top tier. I believe in the idea that if you are from that province you should tap artists from there. Honestly, If you truly would want to appropriately and PROUDLY REPRESENT your province you should patronize local creatives from there, they understand your province's culture more than artists from any other provinces. And also because you support livelihood to your province from the seamstresses to the designer to the couriers if you showcase them. It's called a national (city, provincial, regional) costume for a reason to wholeheartedly showcase a the city, the province or region to a minimum with the local designers. Just what Alexie did, easily executed because she knew what an UGTO UGTO is ;). Tunay 'to na #LoveForCreatives! 7. DIVERSE Alexie always putting the diversity in MUPH. This nat cos is gender bending, not your usual pa - flowers and pa - feathers. Something out of a box and can fit a box, literally and yet has BIG IMPACT. Again, hands down to the creative geniuses behind and infront of this. 8. IN CHARACTER Like she always does. Even after recovering from severe dysmenorrhea and a fever in Boracay way back then. A PROFESSIONAL performer. EXECUTION!!! 9.UNFORGETTABLE 10-20 years from now the memory it created to me, will still stay and may be outlive me!
