Hot quad alert! This thing seems like a "product" --more than many other BNFs, which I appreciate. The side skirts, motor wire protectors, and TPU backpack design lend well to this quad design... Though we'll see if that XT60 angle works OK in crashes! Also hell yeah Andy keep doing ion batteries!

When you mentioned camera sensor alignment I had to crank the polar camera way over to the left using different screw holes on either side of the Tpu mount on a Mach R5 to centre the camera view. Before I did that the entire right motor was in view. There is noticeable fish eye in that camera , now it looks like I installed the camera crooked but it functions with a straight ahead view now centre. Thanks for another great review.

I've noticed this as well on my Flywoo explore V2 polar camera. Thought I had defective cam but noticed my diatone Roma5 with same camera has same view. So annoying. Wish they'd get the Proper cameras out. I prefer 120fps and 4:8 ratio.

Cool video ... I also want to get the Envoque but with the DC frame ... I'm just a bit unsure because a colleague said it would be more difficult to freestyle with a DC frame but I want to do both ... nice and smooth Videos but also freestyle ... what would you recommend me? I think the look of the DC frame is just great

im building one off these. I bought just the frame from ifight and the stack that fits , but chucking in some ko motors and cadex pro vista with a tbs antenna with crossfire. Iflight said all the connections for the leds come with the frame not sure on the buzzer but i will find out soon and will make a build video, will be my third build guide :) Nice vid :)

I have had my eye on this quad since it came out. I have the nazgul v2. Love it that you do line of sight as well as fpv. That takes some skill, I'm still trying to learn fpv net alone Los. Great job

My Polar camera on the BabyHawk 2 HD shows the right side prop in the FPV, I thought it was the mount, now I think it could be an issue with the camera

P/D ratio looks fine, but I would probably increased master slider for 1 tick, because little shakiness, like I-term wobbling still existing. Or lower I-term relating to P-term and increase Antigravity to keep nose of the quad stable on throttle cut. Anyway its cool that RTF quads become like this) I remember few years ago when only available rtf-quad was the "Wizzard" xD

Yo Andy I was one of the first novice 4 flyier with you and learned how to set up my gps rescue from you well sadly to say bud I lost my novice 4 my video signal went completely out!!!! And I tried the gps rescue and no luck....so now I'm out of my first favorite quad man I was hoping that maybe just maybe you could scrounge up some parts to build me another 4 inch🙏 I love your reviews man I actually pulled the trigger on the novice 4 because of your review and I love it!!!! I actually am trying to buy another one but you can't buy one without the radio and goggles and all I want is the quad.....I have tried banggood eachine and everybody to sell me just the eachine novice 4 but no one wants to sell unless it's the entire bundle.....I dont want extra ev800dm or radiomaster tx12 as I intend to upgrade to dji or skyzone o4x and for radio I want a tango 2 or mambo tbs.....is there anything you can do to help me out bud ????? Please I will pay for the quad if you can get it because I really like the novice 4 I love the rattel camera and it's just a very good quad with those 4 s 1100mah hvlipos........I see how alot of guys are after those batteries because they're great batteries long run time and durable.......please man if there is anything you can do I would appreciate it man I don't have any one to fly with where I live so it's always me by myself solo flying......please give a fellow fpvist a hand man.....I dont know who else to turn to every one else is kinda looking through their nose if you know what I mean.......thanks andy✌

Your point about the Polar camera being out of alignment is not an isolated example. I ordered one based on your recommendation (I replaced the stock nebula nano that came with the Vista at the time). My camera is tilted to the right by about 4 degrees, I had to really twist the camera in its mount to be able to get an even image in the video frame. Just a data point... hopefully, Caddx will sort it out.

According to iflight change log from 23/10/21: polar camera has been replaced by dji camera. @AndyRC, do you think that this change will remove props from the view?

Is it better than the old DC5? Don’t care much about the lights, but they look cool. Too bad the polar is just 16:9. I fly 4:3.

it looks awesome,but the side panels holds out coooling air as wel. so the drone wil be cooled less and prob wil be dmg faster due to to much heat.

Get something tough cause you will be crashing - I know from personal experience.

Hey Andy. Good to see you fly this. Having never flown a DC frame, and having flown the Nazgul5 v2, what differences are there to handling with the DC frame? Why would you fly that over a squished X (apart from props out of shot)?

If you wanted a bit more strength the squished x would have it over the deadcat. But dead cat gets rid of the props so better for slower flying with props out of shot. Dead cat can do both

I can't make up my mind if I want the dead cat or the x-frame, I don't care about the props in my view, I don't know if there's a noticeable difference in the flight characteristics between the two different frames, I like cruising mid long-range and just basic freestyle type flying nothing crazy

The best is, nearly no prop in view, but i don't like deadcat designs.

I can't stand that even lime of sight dji doesn't maintain a high quality image throughout. So much looked like an oil printing, especially in the trees. It's a 360p digital system? 🤔

But its over heating the unid. Why people dont talk about that🥺🥺🥺

If the vista was overheating it would warn you in the goggles and it's not done that once. Probably don't listen to the person who said that :-)
