For you not knowing who Skip and Chip are from one of the tapes: They are from a different game called Chip's Tips that is part of a collection of games called Dread X collection 3. DreadXP are the devs who make these Dread X collections giving indie devs a short amount of time to make a game and send it to the DreadXP devs as demos and they make a collection out of it in which these collection of games follow a story. I know it sounds weird but I tried to explain it the best I can. Oh, and DreadXP are the publishers of Amanda the Adventurer.

The constant pausing and unpausing for jump scare paranoia was pretty jarring ngl

If this guy ever reads this don’t play a game like this again you keep screwing the atmosphere because you keep pausing every 2 seconds when tape ends stuff happens so finish new tape then pause

Missed this one but great game.

I like the presentation and the way the story unfolds in a sort of "escape room" deal, really creative and interesting in that regard. It's nice until you realize the lore is just "demons, possession lol" like every other blockbuster 2/10 horror flick. Blegh. Otherwise good game.

I agree. What I find interesting is the lore of the company and the concept of such a company doing something like this. I admire resident evil for the same thing. 😁 I do find the whole demons and possessions stuff repetitive and expected, but, if they can somehow turn the story into a way where it's unique and interesting from the demons and possessions aspects, it could work and they would be able to pull it off, but its a hard thing to do, especially with cliché types. ✌️🤝

I'd say the presentation is different than most. It's not a Slender/Amnesia clone where you're just getting chased the whole time. It doesn't rely on jumpscares either. Actual ARG-styled riddles and clues required to gain progress is pretty neat. Sure it's low budget and the story is pretty by the numbers, but for a cheap indie game? Worth the time of playing it at least.
