I was getting 3% in CDs until recently and it's hard to go with the .4% rates.

Quite stable, around 4.1 to $. The FD interest rates 1.8% - 2.5% depends on the bank, terms..etc. Nothing really much for the short term but I do believe that malaysian ringgit is “remarkably undervalued” right now which provides some potential upside for long-term. But again, that's from the longer term perspective!

Haha i thought of that too but I believe you need to be in a DEFI exchange first if not they will know you enter into Crypto but never exited they will just tax you at the end or when they are ready (new law) so just make sure you are Decentralize from start to finish AKA the real way to use Crypto

Great video! In all honesty I wouldn't put my money in many of those places. I want my money to be in top tier 1st world locations where I have protections and strong democratic governments. So I never really focus on the interest. I would even take negative interest if I was allowed to open a Swiss account.

That's sensible, but investment is not an all or nothing situation adventure, if you put 10% of your net worth in a slightly more risky institution for a much higher interest rate, you're not exactly gambling away your assets.

That depends. Similar to a normal bank in legal cases (because no, the insurance is a joke if you have millions on a bank) and otherwise - what bank? AAVE is a contract. Not in the legal, but in the technical sense. All loans are guaranteed by code, automatically liquidated if necessary. A group of people gets a cut of all interest but has to pay in case of a nunrecoverable loss. So, technically - way more safe than a bank.

DeFi is the way to go

Why would I go through the hassle of a bank located in another country when there's a 3.0% FDIC insured bank in the US?

Dividend stocks are fine. But crowdlending is extremely risky that the person defaults and you get nothing as it's unsecured debt. On blockfi you can earn 8% interest in stable coins risk free. Borrowers have to put up colleteral before they can borrow, so there is no risk of losing money.

@@cluedin the owners are visible and their licensing is public, what do you mean? You can check out their telegram and talk to them yourself. They even had an AMA just the other day with the CEO and COO. A bunch of us did extensive diligence on them before investing. Happy to give you any info but honestly it's all out in the open easy to find. They are licensed, regulated and insured.

Get a Canadian citizenship.. It’s not fast to get a citizenship (3yrs) but Canadian’s can visit USA for 6 Months without a Visa. Spend another 6 months in another country because you have to claim closer connection exemption to another country, this has to be a permanent place you go back to because you have to prove you have significant ties in that country to claim closer connection exemption and not get taxed by the IRS (you will pass the substantial presence test if you visit USA for 6 Months yearly), Yes it’s not year round access unlike if you have a green card or citizenship but it’s better than getting taxed by the IRS wherever you go & besides the Bay Area doesn’t have good weather year round like Socal so spend the nice months in Bay Area and another 6 months in another country.

those are good choices yes, personally i wouldnt do usd based stablecoin unless it offered at least 20%, its a pity there arent many other options at the moment, there is also TGBP and THKD and EURS but the latst two are quite hard to get/trade/store

@@simonwright2210 There are cryptos that can make a return in your own private wallet yes, those arent that many yet and they are easy to find out which ones they are. In most other cases it means depositing your crypto somewhere for someone else to use the money, usually loans but also for investments. The ones he mentions are stablecoins so of course they cant make any money on their own without you lending it to someone. But with real cryptos the fluctuations are way more than the interest brokers will give you so it doesnt usually make sense to bother with that and accept extra risks but with stable coins its different because they are stable with respect to a pegged fiat currency and brokers also typically give you the highest interest on those so you can easily get 6-14% depending on the broker and if its a flex term or 1 or 3 moths term and other factors.

The US government only lets you take $10000 out of the country ....How are you going to put more money in the foreign bank when you don't have citizenship there?

@@oliverallen5324 You appear to know what your talking about if you know they don't do fractional lending. How do they make the money to pay the returns they do in that case? I don't live in US but FDIC covers $250,000 default by a bank as far as I can see. I don't know where these crypto interest companies are located and whether they're regulated or to take deposits. I'd be grateful for any information you may have as for all I know they could be paying interest with capital or new capital paid in (ponzi schemes). I'd be grateful for any information you may have as there does not appear any protection for investors?

@@simonwright2210, it also takes a bit of naivety or being new to Finance to think any product that offers you a 10%+ interest is a safe option. There's always a tradeoff between risk and reward.

It's got a huge fee

If you're really interested in crypto fixed income, you can trust variable rate LP or "banks" like Celsius where you give up ownership of your asset. Or, you can invest in HEX and stake it for as long as you want like a CD (choose any number of days). It's programmed and trustless fixed interest that won't change on a whim, up to 40% apy, and you don't give up your ownership. And you get the benefit of price appreciation.

Thanks for your comment. However, I don't know what variable rate LP is and the idea of giving up ownership of your assets does not sound to appealing. I don't know what security you get with a crypto 'bank'? Hex also sounds interesting but I do not k ow how that works either. I assume you take a risk on price in return for the return you mention.

So your risk is in the price of that token, which is volatile, but as of yet the trend has not shown it stays down for long if the price goes down, it has shown it is completely uncorrelated to any other asset, and the price could have strong upside if people like the idea of programmed trustless fixed interest and choose to invest.

Best high yield savings? Buy HODL token (crypto), with a 100$ investment you can earn about 2-3$ DAILY! How about that ? Good luck with banks

It is not Georgia, USA.

My plan: convert USD to USDC (crypto) and get 12+% interest rate. Spread my USDC around multiple locations to decrease my risk. Advantages -> I can move my money around in a few clicks, no banking hours, no wire transfers that take days. “Traditional banks” are in trouble.

There are risks like getting hacked. But I don’t trust traditional banks. And FDIC insurance means nothing to me since I don’t trust my own government.

I get 10% from a stable coin. Works great for me

​@@cryptoyarrick I own equity in both companies as well as having tier 5 on Yield app and platinum on Celsius Network. YLD is down over 50% in the last 30 days, CEL token is up almost 6%. Yield is at 42 employees, Celsius is at over 350 and hiring another 100. I'm a big fan of both companies but Yield app is a lot higher risk for the average person who normally uses bank accounts to save. Unfortunately it also has withdrawal fees at present.

@@kylejoseph225 The token value as you know is meaningless this early on. As long as you're tier 5, you get the max APY. Yes Cel is 4 years older than Yield App so they are naturally a bigger company.

Just put your money in a stablecoin and get 7-10%

I wouldnt take any advice from Mark Cubin. He likes Biden.
