This Halloween house facade will showcase most of our vintage blow mold collection. The design idea was to create a nostalgic feel of trick or treating as a kid. It gave us a great way to showcase the collection on a multilevel surface of the steps. We built the photo op or facade just like many of the themed props we have created in the past. I threw in a little Halloween movie easter egg of having the Michael Myers house address numbers. This collection includes a few of the top selling vintage blow molds, which are highly collectible and can be quite valuable. Blow molds are such a unique decoration made by a machine that blasts compressed air to blow molten plastic into hollow cavities, or molds, to create three-dimensional items. Dairy bottles, watering cans, and Wiffle balls, among other plastic objects, are made in the same way. Fifty years ago, blow-molded decorations were as common as discarded milk jugs. We just love holiday blow molds and definitely have the blow mold craze. Do you have any fond memories of them and which ones do you own.

Oh my! Seeing this makes me realise how much I miss your collection videos. My life changed after watching one of those videos! I love to see your whole process! From the picture refereces... to the sketch... to the production... and to the final result (which is amazing). I'm a big fan of blow molds as well! Seeing all those babies, side by side, warm my heart.

I am a huge blow mold fan. This video is also amazing to find right now as I’m getting ready to plan out my new studio space and I considered doing a “front porch” as a backdrop across from the video store I was creating and wouldn’t you know it. This is absolutely STUNNING!!! Wonderful inspiration and so many warm delightful feels in this. Thank you a million times over!!! ❤❤❤

Ah blowmolds. I noticed they are staging a comeback. The nostalgia rabbit hole I dived down is Telco Motionettes and their copies.

I have a love hate relationship with motionettes. Love them cause they are so amazing but hate them because most of the ones I own stopped working lol!!!

@@HollywoodHaunter I’m lucky in the fact that I’m mechanically inclined. I have torn apart many of the broken Motionettes I find at thrift stores and repaired them when I could. I have been thinking seriously about getting a 3D printer to make and replace broken couplings and gears.

As usual it looks amazing! You guys should really open a museum and share Jeana's collections and charge an entry fee I bet there would be a huge demand for it... Like Spirit Halloween does that is done only during the season on an already empty store space, God knows there's no shortage of those everywhere!!! The facade looks gorgeous and so inviting!

Thank you! I would LOVE to own a Halloween museum. If you haven't ever heard of it, look up the Halloween Castle museum. Talk about incredible 😲 I would love to go there someday and spend the whole day looking at everything.

As truck driver I remember driving through the Ohio Indiana Illinois and seeing lots of neat blow molds on people's porches for Halloween 🎃

Do you update the lighting in the blow molds with modern LEDs to reduce how much heat they produce? I didn’t know how much fire risk there is with the old bulbs or the heat aging the plastic.
