Something to try with your next greenhouse is a geothermal greenhouse oriented along east-west so you can fully insulate the entire north half of the roof, and use reflective film on the inside. Or your north-side wall can be vertical and made of heatsink material like black water tanks. The heating is from 2.5 meter deep trenches on your property with airflow pipes that give you year-round 50-degree F air. A heatpump can raise the temp to whatever you want, and you can power it all with solar pv most of the year.

Roll-ups, fans, vents, end-doors... everything works together to make sure the greenhouse doesn't get too hot!
