I'm 66 years old, lady, had no trouble setting it. The "thing" in the middle is the trap trigger. You don't need to position snare to hole opening, it is open on all sides to catch rodent as he runs through .. North/South East/West...love this product

i just pull mine up, no need to fire trap underground. Pull it up and then fire trap! Caught 10 gophers in a week with it. Best trap ever. Go to fresh gopher mound, find run next to mound, set trap and wait a few hours, check trap every 4 hrs and pull it up. Sometimes the gopher will fill trap with dirt, empty trap of dirt, fire it above ground and then reset in hole.

Thanks for showing how to set it. I was just about ready to return it because it wouldn't pull up all the way, and then I saw your way of whacking the side of the tube, just like it says on the tube to do for setting it. I appreciate it.

Glad you covered the alignment of the business end. You're the only one I've found so far who mentions this. I suspect many of the failed catches with this tool have to do with not doing this.

This thing is awesome. I got one and got the mole in 24 hrs. I don't have surface diggers, tried 4 different traps, and now...i am a mole killer

We just had some rain & now starting to see holes that are recently been dug & filled up so set two traps this evening hope i get these ground dweller destroyers..

OMG, after using everything i can find, this is the only thing that worked. i used exactly how did bcuz the way it tells on direction did not work. What ive tried in past at different times. are you ready... car fumes, gas bombs, wire tek traps, sonic spikes, poison worms, gas-worked for a time, ammonia, gum. im sure there more i can't think of....

Not cracked, you can also just pull it out and tap it with your palm to trigger it. Very easy to use.

It is not "cracked" it is a relief cut for the top to push down tight.

The curf on the top sides. It's so you can put the cap back on easily

Hire the neighbour boy to set your trap for you.

Wants to kill gophers for digging up his yard. Digs up yard himself. LOL Probably a good thing it didn't trigger. Where his hand was positioned could have been a problem when that spring slammed back.
