Hi Matt. I love your vids and since watching them my game has improved - I'm more consistent. But I'm still struggling getting clean strikes from the rough and when I have maybe 20 or 30 feet to the pin out of the rough. Could you do videos to cover out these situations please. Regards. Mike

Good review - i prefer the Garmin S60 Approach...taking a device out of my bag on every shot is a pain. Furthermore, do most golfers need such accuracy in determining which club to use? And, I would think that most golfers could not accurately hit a shot within 10 yards...here's the stat - most golfers can only hit the green 50% of the time at 150 yards. prefer the watch, keeps your score, gives accurate distances at a glance, downloads and keeps your handicap, tracks your round by steps/miles. keep the videos coming, watch everyone.

That was a great video on the rangefinders but how was the buttons on them?

So can you only target a flag stick with it? I’m wondering if I could use a rangefinder to shoot at part of a hill in between some sticks at my local driving range. I’m hoping to see how far my ball is going without having to guess if I’m 15 or 20 or 25 yds beyond a pin.

I use the Pro Stabilized. Love it

How timely is it that I found this video. I’m in the market for a rangefinder and Nikon is my favorite. I still have to choose which one but I know that I want it to calculate the slope. Thanks

The plaque is for the furthest back part of the green not the flag. Flag placement is different depending on the grounds crew for each hole.

Thanks for the video, I am in the market for my first ever rangefinder. Have used gps watch but feel I would like to move up to a rangefinder. I will look at these and also bushnell as chat seems to recommend. Any help appreciated.

srmarketto the taylormade app is great for distance as well. Tracks shots and tells you distance to hazards. I was going to buy a range finder but can’t bring myself to when i have that app. App name is myRoundPro

srmarketto no problem. It also lets you select clubs and gives you feed back on how far you’re hitting clubs and analyzes where you’re losing strokes!

I play in the morning and fog is always a issue. Any range finders good in the fog?

I have he coolshot g20 the 2nd one u tested but mine doesn’t show slope. I’ve never read the manual but it does have a mode button..?!? Should it be able to show slope as well. Got it 2019 for $199 maybe it’s the older model but it looks identical to the second one w the blue writing

How do the Pro Stabilized and Pro II Stabilized versions differ?

so which do you like the best and why? Pros and Cons?

I got the Nikon Coolshot 80 VR, which I love. Stabilized, waterproof, and a lot better looking than these models. No slope function though.

The stabilized has the slope in it, but you can turn off for tourney play with the green light function if you like.

I am a little surprised everyone one reviewed here is a Nikon.

I’m in Middle GA. Come play w us at Southern Hills County Club and Golf Course Hawkinsville GA. A pretty nice track in my opinion

I've got the coolshot pro stabilized and dont really like it any better than my bushnell. Tougher to lock on to from long distance although quicker to lock on from mid-short. If you have shaky hands it's probably great but I'll likely go back to Bushnell after this one wears out.

I think the title should have been comparison of Nikon rangefinders. Realize that many videos are now just commercials for products.

I am going to get a Vortex range finder. Actually made for hunting but they are excellent for golf. One of the best range finders out there. Check out there V.I.P. warranty. No one beats it. If it fails or breaks they fix them or replace them for free. Others warranty theirs only for a year or two. Vortex. One of the better secrets of the realm. And its an unlimited life time warranty.

This has nothing to do with rangefinders! Could you do a video on hitting from green side rough from a buried, half buried nd sitting up lie - and which club tiouse on each. Thanks.

Love them. I just hate wearing watches.

The best rangefinder's are not made by Nikon. Bushnell is the best, which is why it's the most used on tour.( without sponsorship)

i see no point in slope measuring as ita forbidden in most tournaments. I like to practice and private play under tournement-conditions. I got a basic rangefinder with only distance, solid one, used for 50 bucks.

NIkon is horrible with support, just outside (1 mos) of a year the product failed to start and they basically said pound sand. Would never touch another product again

Where's all the real best range finders like Bushnell

Should of done the 50i also. Forget the 20i no slope at all, useless!
