The clip of you falling without anything on your hands or arms showed something I'm unfortunately very familiar with. After my body has hit the ground and I've stopped moving, a small moment of panic sets in as I think to myself, "Oh no...what did I do?" This is while I'm looking at my skin to see exactly how much damage was done. Anyway, the differenceof injuries with and without protective wear is so stark, that I really can't bring myself not to wear something when I'm out. These days I actively have to not put on gloves and a helmet in order to go anywhere without them. Personally, I do prefer the Flatland3D gloves, as the wrist splints come in handy. My left wrist has issues from both falls and household repairs the last year or so, and I can't afford to completely lose use of it. Good video. Nice production value.

Hey Mario! And omg yeah that moment right before you hit the ground and time almost freezes for a second... you always remember that feeling lol its like a million regrets hit you instantly! I'm just thankful that my lesson didn't result in a worse injury and that it was enough for me to realize that it didn't matter how good I was, sometimes accidents just happen. Would like to try the flatland3d gloves some day and see how a full wrist guard compares. Anyways, always appreciate you coming by and saying hi! Hope all is well with you and your family Mario!

Thank you for your video! Congrats on your first giveaway! It never gets cold enough for me to wear full fingered gloves in San Francisco so I tend to wear only wrist guards. I have the Flexmeter D3Os which give me great confidence of not snapping my wrists if I fall off my EUC. They are also designed for snowboarding so you can get double use out of them. I have taken enough high speed tumbles now to never ride without the following: Full-face helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, wrist guards and over the ankle shoes. I have various elbow and knee pads to accommodate the type of clothing I will be wearing that day. After every crash I assess what is damaged on me and how well the gear did. I have been able to walk away from every crash with no significant damage.

Hey Robert! Always appreciate your support and comments! And yeah I'd imagine on an EUC you'd want a good bit of protection. You guys are on another level! Solid checklist you got for PPE! I had friends who definitely could have used wrist guards when snowboarding too! A broken wrist looks horrifying and is burned into my memory to this day lol

Fingered because I am getting into tricks and more gnarly stuff and think they would boost my confidence and make me more likely to try sketchy stuff because I wouldn’t be afraid about hurting my hands! Love the gloves, I have the full finger already, so definitely the fingerless for me. Would recommend these for sure.

the hard puck is much better, I fell on both at around the same speed. both prevented any scrapes on palm, but the hard one slides and allows your arm to gracefully extend in front of your head to give you a softish landing where as the soft one does not slide and you will still take a lot of force on the rest of your body.

Got my first Onewheel coming tomorrow along with a Triple8 MIPS helmet. Just ordered the fingered version of these gloves for the fall/winter in Denver coming up.

Super interested on those gloves. I always wear a helmet as I know I would injure myself the one time i will not wear it ! I felt 2 days ago on my first day of OneWheel and I knew that goves are missing !! Would love to get the full version of the gloves. Thanks for the review :)

Hey thanks Ashley :D they'll do great on the scooter but I will say you might want to wear warmer thicker gloves when it hits that low temp. These gloves just aren't thick enough to keep you warm when it drops below freezing temp! Thanks for watching and appreciate the support :)

please wear wristguards, 3 days ago it was windy and i didn't notice the pushback and i fell at 26.1 mph on my xr. I was wearing full gear including flexmeter wristguards and my right wrist is still sore as hell i can't lift anything heavier than a water bottle with it. Without the wristguards my wrists would've been shattered.

My friend was just in a scooter accident and his knee was shattered - hitting the pavement - months in the hospital - not probably walking for a year. I think you need to do a review on kneepads as well.

curious if the hard plastic palms could come off in a crash - at high speed why wouldn't they simply rip right off. velcrov doesn't seem like enough. shouldn't they be built right into the glove.

Hey Dustin, they're still holding up well but I find myself using the full finger ones more. I like the extra protection of my finger tips and it just feels more secure. But if you're going for more minimalist, fingerless ones are perfect then!

I just ripped the tech touch technology for my last pair of gloves and I’m in the market for a full finger pair again. Any comments on the warmth for the 1Protect?

Oh dang that would be annoying to lose the touch tech! And I rode over an hour in the cold to test the warmth and completely forgot to mention it in the video so thank you for asking this Don lol and YES it kept my hands warm. It was daytime and cloudy but about 40 degrees and felt perfect. Thanks for always commenting and support me Don! Appreciate you alot!

This is true, they're definitely not wrist guards. Just a more minimalist approach for riders that want less restrictions.
