@@NoBillsOfCrashDamage I mean, I'm not saying self-defense is out of the question when the other person is this or that but everyone talks about it like just casual street fighting and as if wanting gender equality is dumb because "tRuE gEndEr eQuAliTy iS whEn mEn CaN aLsO hit wOmeN" and that's just... No. Violence is not part of gender equality. Self-defense and violence is another subject, even if tied to this. What I'm trying to say is, thinking that hiting women back IS gender equality is the mindset of a 10 y/o, which a lot of people here seems to have. And just to be clear, yes, if you're a man and a woman is commiting an act of violence on you, you should fight back if necessary, and that goes both ways. But if we're going to get in a less practical conversation, all violence is inherently bad and the one commiting the act of violence first is the first one in the wrong and the one responding to that violence with more violence is also in the wrong, no matter their gender, skin color or whatever you want.

  • @NoBillsOfCrashDamage

@@gabi-chan7806 I think people resort to that example because some women default to their gender as a free pass for being violent, even when unprovoked, and by extension, those women only want the good type of equality, not the negative one, which includes all types of punishment, not just the physical variety. So I at least am aware that equality is far more than just who can hit who, but at the same time understand why a lot of the discourse is about hitting.

Also the first clip of the guy kicking her was literally the girl asking for it. The gender equality part here is that the girls can't just hit the guys or bully them around and not experience some kind of consequence. It's guys who aren't afraid to hit a woman, vs women who are used to getting away with hitting guys because they're women. It's not just about guys hitting girls. It's guys not caring about what gender that person is because they struck first, and the one who struck first just so happened to be female, so he's going to punch her just like he would punch another guy.

They are out of context, for example the guy who throws the couple to the river: the girl appears and kicks the boy with glasses to the river first thinking it was her boyfriend (the guy in brown) then she apologizes but the guy is like "no, you should know what it feels to be hurt like that too", and forces the boyfriend to do the same to her. With the guy thinking who to punch because of the height: that girl kidnapped his friend and were thinking of using her for a ritual or so (I don't remember well, it's been years since I watched that one) so... justified. With the guy with blue hair is similar to the couple in the river: He was hit by the ponytail girl just for for an argument about doing the right thing (or so, I don't remember well) but then she realizes that she was the one in the wrong, so she asked him to hit her to be even. and so on... Context matters in here, and they forgot to add it, making it feel just like boys hitting girls.

Your hitting 2K dislikes of this this day and the videos only been up 12 days...Your always asking why did the guy hit her? Well she hit the guy first in alot of these and so he hit her back. The others they are in a fight that the girl started because she is an evil villain so he has to fight back. Another is her being a huge ass treating him or another person horrible and mocking the man and the last ones are friends doing slapstick comedy. You asking why did the guy hit her when she hit him first was the stupidest and worst offender though I will say. That's gender equality, you hit someone you get hit even if your a girl. To quote the late great Sean Connery himself: "I don’t think there is anything particularly wrong about hitting a woman- although I don’t recommend doing it in the same way that you’d hit a man. An open-handed slap is justified if all other alternatives fail." No one is saying a guy is within his right to beat up a woman cause she accidentally spilled coffee on him. However, by the definition of gender equality, a woman should not be able to use "I'm a woman" as a get-out-of-jail-free-card to weasel her way out of the consequences of her actions. Men not retaliating in kind is not some inherent right of being a woman, but a privilege men give women out of respect. And even when well within his right to retaliate, even when the woman has crossed the line so far that it's disappeared over the horizon, a true man will never retaliate in full like he would with another man. Because a true man knows that no matter how hard a woman might hit, he can likely hit much harder. A very simple lesson. If you can't take it, don't dish it out. Respect is a two way street.

Gender Equality means that in this the boy won't hesitate to fight back against a girl whether its verbal or physical. Say if a girl slaps a guy just because she knows that she's loosing the argument or say wants to end it then the guy actually gives her a chance to redeem herself that admitting she's in the wrong and should not have done that (3 strike rule) then the guy goes in with a hit of his own the same force she used and its not because it hurt his manly pride its because the woman should get a taste of reality of her decision that is effecting those around her. That actually happened in a video short of an altercation between a man and woman on a plane. Another one was an anime where a hero slaps a girl after the girl refuses to see her mistake that costs her - her fellow troops, she got mad and tries to hit him but he blocks and slaps her then repeats when she advances towards him. My favorite scene tbh. A lady shouldn't been hit if she doesn't go for the hit in the first place that's just dumb sense - period.

Gender equality doesn't mean in anime that boys should hit girls Gender equality means that they shouldn't be afraid to do the same comedic violence on girls in anime

She keeps asking "WHY!?" everytime the guy hits the girl. You don't need to know the whole story or have watched the anime. Just by reading the subtitles you'll SEE that the they Say the girl did the same thing to them in most cases. All these chicks acting like little girls lol. A real woman knows not to mess around with men like men do amongst us ourselves. If we Cross the line there Will be dire consecuences, so don't be crossing the line acting like a man when You are a woman and expect not to face consecuences of your actions, damn! Wanting to act like men and then start crying when You get the men experience back. Act like proper women, please, You Will be more respected and protected by the same men You keep fooling.

For every scene of a guy hitting a girl in anime there are at least a thousand scenes of a girls beating a guy to a bloody pulp for simple misunderstandings or superficial sht. And we're supposed to find it funny. You really have no right to complain. And most of these scenes were deserved, unlike when it happens to guys in anime. You have no problem when girls brutalize boys in anime but in the rare occasion when it's the other way around you're offended. Typical.

Gender equality in this context is designed around chivalry. For context, do you know of these scenarios, and mostly done for comedic purposes? Guy accidentally sees a girl (partially) nude and she flat out punches him. Guy acts stupid for whatever reason, girl feels the need to hit him to "straighten" him out. A fight is organized one way or another and it's guy vs girl, but the guy should just act chivalrous, and if he does win, does it through non-violent means, but she can attack him as much as she wants. Either of these are done with the suggestion of comedic effect because a guy is not supposed to hit a girl, and because she is hitting him it's funny. Also with the recent "female empowerment" and "feminism" movements in real life saying that women are equal to men, or women can do everything a man can, this is now the flip side of that gender equality.
