They threw so much ground inefficiently at the grinder and didn't come up with a strategy to break it -- so sad. Reavers alone are super efficient when used with cannons/zealots already. Reavers + PsiStorm? With tanks? That's a near perfect ground defense and they were stupid to throw any ground at that even 3v2. Dark Cloud + ultras was a half decent idea that almost worked, but clogging that lane was brilliant. They should have secured execution of it with an uninterrupted stream. Honestly, it could have been a massive Ultralisk + Lurker drop right on top of your units. They almost had you with Carriers + arbiter(s?) too but the problem is they didn't strike buildings that mattered, or offensively use either recall to hurt your economy, or freeze groupings of your units critical for your defense. Since the days I played, this spell has remained the same (I just checked): 97% of Fastest Map players don't use Disruption Web and it's actually better than Dark Cloud because it's harder -- sometimes impossible to counter -- and it can be used to great effect offensively and defensively. Offensively, the unit can easily push forward and cover groups of tanks and ranged units preventing them from firing at all. It's not channeled, and they are cheap so it doesn't matter if they die. And it only covers their units so your units can be ranged, pushing in and hitting them while they are under it. Same thing for defense if the enemy is pushing in with range, but the actual and more likely use case for defense is exactly what your choke did. Units that cannot attack will stand at their range. So if it's hydras, cast it to cover the front line, and all of the other hydras behind it are clogged up and can't get in range while the ones in front die not being able to do anything. Ultralisks? Same thing. Cast on your front line, and they can't attack and will just run around like doofuses while taking hits until they die. You can be precise with it too and cover enemy ultralisks (aim to their rear) while your own melee units can still attack as well assuming Dark Cloud is also over the same area. Did I mention a small team of them can ensure those drops you despite heavy air defense? Just Disruption web a hole through double, even triple layers of photon cannons with a group of 12 of them and fly on through nearly unscathed. Corsairs are also really good in Fastest Map because you establish air dominance quickly, with a fast moving unit. Most enemies will think "well, you can't hit ground so I'll go ground" forgetting that disruption web nueters their pushes into chokes heavily so even if you have less ground units for defense, you're more than fine since you can use your full supply of corsairs at a single choke versus 10% of their army at best. If they go air, stay on top of killing it before critical mass. Oh and against Zerg? HUNT all of their overlords. Literally stop them from building any units and just kill them. It's hilarious how often this works because they build enough spires or Hydras and park all of their overlords near it. Even that has some limited effect given disruption web. I feel like I had an 85% win rate doing this way back in the day. Also, I've won a 1v3 as Zerg on a similar map. It was a Fastest Shared Base map style.

Disruption web not bad, but decent, hard drops should be enough. Just - plague, stasis fields - strongest spells in game, and all this fall. Can't understand why people don't do what is the strongest. Storm, feedback vs all energy units maybe zealot/zerglings bombing vs tanks. Dark swarm was horrible mistake. Basically protoss as race has better units to operate in dark swarm, he should use it in terran base and snipe all protoss units there such as templar, reaver.

Cross's base is an actual hydra meat grinder.
