I get frustrated when people generalize and say that all cats are cold, uncaring and anti-social. That has never been the experience with cats that I have had.

Kneading with claws pulled in is fine. Kneading with claws sticking out is painful, believe me. Especially in the summer when I wear shorts.

Not always. One time my sister had to go over to her boss' house while she was away to feed her cats and brought me along. One of them hid, but the other nuzzled me while I was laying on the couch.

i had a cat called tiger she followed me everywhere i went. when my mum got a new cat tiger jumped on me and pissed all over me. i rang vet and asked them why she did that and they said tiger pissed on me to warn the other cat im her property and to keep away bassicly. so i was mad she pissed on me but on the other hand overwhelmed that she loved me enough to call me hers haha.

i nearly got killed by a dog and my mom later got a cat so i was pretty scared at first not knowing if the cat would harm but the cat grew affectionate to me and has never harmed me, only loved me. cats are far less dangerous.

Sometimes I call my cat to come sleep with me when I want company and she comes even if she was sleeping in another room. :) And they're so relaxing, that purring of theirs is so soothing. Even if you can't sleep because you're stuck in an awkward position with the cat sleeping happily, it's worth it. ^_^

My cat always is purring right to my ear to wake me up. It's so cute I can't even get mad!

And almost all of these cats' humans woke up with a smile.

only ever met one pure sphinx cat before. their skin feels something like soft baby skin, and is very warm to the touch - kinda brings to mind an electric blanket in terms of the warmth

Cats are great pets and members of the family. They are all individuals, just like us. I love my furries! After my Dad passed away, we found one of our cats who absolutely adored him, sitting on his slippers and meowing - she kept it up for a couple of hours. She knew he was gone. It was so sad.
