First error. On french ration, the plastic wrapping needs to be opened from the side as this will make a usable plastic bag for food stroage, or disposal. This also can be done by hand without a knife. This bag can also be used for water treatement with the included water puriication tablets.

I just wish they added more sugar.. would’ve made this ration an easy 9 out of 10.. not sure why they are so against it... they should have at least provided sweeteners if they were concerned about “sugar “ . Best things were the mains and the chocolate... maybe the jelly bar too.

14:10 nice display of French engineering, makes me real proud of my country. Jokes aside we can find most of the items in regular supermarkets except for the cheese spread in a can. Never seen this outside of French MREs.

Awesome looking ration sir !! All components looked delicious. Well thought out, agreed. More sugar would be nice. Nice looking Breakfast. Lunch. Everyone says any French soup is awesome. Most thicken up very nicely. Gotta love the pull tabs, LOL. That is my luck most of the time. Looks like the fight was worth it however. Great looking pasta. I love the variety of campaign biscuits in these French rations. Addition of crackers to mains, cool idea. The French cheese is awesome, by others reviews. Dinner. Better luck on the pull tab this time. That main looks excellent friend. I can almost detect the aroma on this side of the computer screen. Great ration, great review, and , great reviewer of course !!! The ration, overall, Looks excellent to me. Great job. Peace, John, AKA, Magnum. P.S., I have A French 24 Hr. ration here, ordered from Foreignmre.com. Unsure when I will get to it, But, I can't wait to try it, LOL. Peace friend!!

I don’t understand why these rations don’t come with more cold drinks? A couple of teas is fine but I’d rather have a cold tonic with my meals . Coffee well if you want to be crapping through your March. Lol

Where are the cigs? What makes these rations great are those great tasting cigarettes that came with the accessory package when cigarettes had the real tobacco by the way of u.s. military.

Viola Krone yep, these are products we use at home all the time (the brand andros etc), from old french brands. Idk why we put so much effort into our rations but apparently the soldiers love them x') it's good for the morale of the troops. They cost around 10-11€ to the army.

The different bars goes into a pocket for the day or in case you have to skip a meal. The chocolate drink is nice when mixed with the muesli and a pack of sugar. Coffee is meant to be drinked black with no sugar. Tartiflette is a hot meal. Salad is a cold one. The little spoon is useless, French soldiers are issued with a nice mess kit.

I think the French soldiers are issued cutlery kits, which is the reason for the tiny spoon folded up in espit stove kit, it’s just a just Incase thing lol. Most European militaries supply their troops with cutlery kits, even the Canadians do lol. The US is probably one of the select few to not, and that’s just because we use MRE’s instead of the more traditional rations lol. I think the French also don’t believe in loading up their troops with to much sugar, to much sugar causes the body to crash, and results in a sluggish performance index once the sugar crash hits lol. But in a ration, sugar is probably one of the more favored components, it eliminates the possibility of bland drinks, but it is what it is, I still think the French RCIR is one of the worlds greatest military rations, like you said every single component was well thought out for its use in the ration, and every thing in it goes with every other thing, and that’s something you don’t find that often in other countries military rations lol.
