    @@SimActionClips does the steering sensitivity setting somehow correlate to the force feedback sensitivity? I heard that if I had my force feedback sensitivity at 2 I would need to set my steering sensitivity to 2 as well for it to be neutral. Have you found that or is it always 5?

  • @SimActionClips

    @SimActionClips

    They both together change how the ffb feels, that's why many people might feel that they are correlated. Because it can be possible to get the same feel from two different combinations. However the controller steering sensitivity always affects the car behavior the same regardless of what force feedback sensitivity you use with it. It's always only 1:1 and most realistic at 5. With other values it still changes the behavior of the car the way I'm describing in this video independently of the ffb sensitivity. Now when you set the CSS to 5, the force feedback feels most realistic and the wheel is most responsive with ffb sensitivity at 10 which I think that's the only combination anyone should use. The only thing to change is the max torque depending on the steering wheel you're using.

    You're welcome! It actually affects the physics directly, the visual wheel's direction always follows yours. It's the reaction on the physics part of the front wheels which gets affected. It leads to a very weird looking behavior of the car when set to anything other than 5. And it affects the force feedback leading to some misleading behavior.

    Well done, I'm an old man and been Sim racing for over 20 years. I currently use a fanatec DD1 podium for ps5 and a simucube v2 sport for PC. I've found the same settings optimal as you have pointed out for gt7. This is the best most lamen explanation for gt7 FFB. Edit: on a side note everyone should be running minimum filtering if any at all on gt7 subtle FFB is very quickly drowned out by filtering.

  • @SimActionClips

    @SimActionClips

    Жыл бұрын

    Thanks a lot for your feedback on the subject man. I'm curious to know which max torque in GT7 do you run with your DD1? Also do you mean filtering from fanatec's internal settings? I also think if the ffb in a game is made right, all the filtering and damping should be off for the best transmission of details.

  • @hughxthexhand

    @hughxthexhand

    Жыл бұрын

    @@SimActionClips For torque I run between 55% to 75% depending on the car, street cars I run alot so I can feel exactly what the car is doing. The more downforce a car has the less FFB strength I use because of excessive force in high-speed turns. So I'm generally using around 10 to 17Nm of torque. I have several DD bases and have found that the sweat spot is between 11Nm to 18Nm of torque and the more the base is capable is the better because you need overhead to be able to feel subtle FFB while avoiding clipping totally. Filtering is anything you add like dampening, dynamic damping, interpolation, initial force, natural friction and natural inertia. All of these things ADD to the force feedback signal and will dampen any subtle FFB. You do need to add some natural friction just to stop oscillations in straight line, and for some cars that tend to have very fast reaction to front caster you will need to slow the wheel reaction down to a slide down as it sometimes wants snap oversteer but the cars reaction is to over compensate. But my general rule is to only run just enough to stop oscillations.

  • @SimActionClips

    @SimActionClips

    Жыл бұрын

    Thanks a lot for your valuable detailed reply. I'm sorry I was abroad and extremely busy for the past week. Yes what you're describing about filtering is very true, so thanks for that. But is still would like to know which in-game setting for the max torque (from 1 to 10) do you use? Or do you mean you keep it at 10 and just adjust your wheel's internal torque setting?

  • @hughxthexhand

    @@SimActionClips in-game settings for GT7 is 6 torque. Generally I would set the game to max when using the DD1 but GT7 at max in-game torque is massive, although I have experimented high in-game torque and high base torque but putting the base in linear torque mode, it raises the more subtle FFB and lowers the heavy torque. I have found this to be very good for drifting and always enable linear torque when people have a go on my wheel that have little to no experience with a high torque base.

  • @SimActionClips

    @SimActionClips

    Жыл бұрын

    Awesome! I have suspected that max torque at 6 could be related to a 1:1 representation of what the game's physics model intends to give you, provided you have a capable wheel. So this could be true. And yeah i feel what you mean about the linear torque mode, it's very logical to go for it. Thanks a lot again man!

The controller steering sensitivity really baffled me since GT Sport. I always felt how much difference it makes but I never was able to figure out how to set it up right. Until I got my TGT2 which made things much clearer to me and was able to figure out how each setting works. @@SimActionClips My pleasure man! Would you give any extra hint for easier drifting? Does brake balance play a part as well? Do you usually use the sport hard tires? I still find it hard to hold transitions, or at least be smooth with it. For example 15 years ago I used to practice drifting in Live for Speed and it felt more realistic compared to real drifting, something in GT still feels a bit off to me, maybe it's the cars suspension setups? I don't know. But from your videos I see that you drift perfectly in GT, and make it look realistic, it looks and feels like it's a different game than mine.

  • @SimActionClips

    @SimActionClips

    I'm gonna be explaining everything related to drifting in the coming parts of my drifting tutorial. Sure, brake balance plays a huge part in drifting and especially when transitioning and initiating. I usually set it to -2 to the front for most road cars. I didn't mention that in part 1 because we don't even use the brakes in that exercise. And yes I prefer sports hard tires and even grippier tires when possible, depending on the car. It's not because it's easier, since actually more slippery tires make it easier and slow everything down for the driver. But I choose better tires to make it look cooler, faster and more realistic. I think I'm gonna make a whole part about transitioning since it's the trickiest part of drifting for most drivers. Live for speed is also where I started to learn how to drift with a wheel along with GT5. It's not more realistic at all but it's easier because of how "flat" the physics were. GT7 is much more realistic and the physics are much more detailed and dynamic which makes it harder to control the car because of the absence of G-Forces acting on our bodies, which is the main feedback that we rely on in real life. And that's why it's very crucial how we set the ffb to be the most realistic possible. In real life breaking traction/getting more traction from standstill are also much more easily controllable because of the G-Forces that we used to judge everything. I still think GT7 needs to improve the realism in that part for sure, but it's not as bad as you're describing in my opinion.

    @@SimActionClips For example I think it was easier/more realistic to hold a drift in GT5 than in GT7. Since GT6 I cannot drift properly in this game, it's like the car snaps to the other side mid drift out of nothing. I don't know, to me it just does not feel natural.

Struggled for years since GT Sport came out, always testing and changing my ffb settings without any satisfying result. Until I was able to figure out how the controller steering sensitivity changes things in combination with the ffb sensitivity. So I had to make this video, and now that I'm getting all these positive feedback comments from you guys, this means a lot 🤟🏻❤

    I was aiming to get one, but it was very hard to source and ship one here without spending a ridiculous amount of money. I ended up finding out that getting my current TGT2 with T-LCM pedals and shifter would cost me around 1K USD less than the equivalent from Fanatec, so i had to ditch the DD Pro and go for the TGT2. It's a very good wheel but i think it's not as fast as the DD.

    @@SimActionClips The TGT-II is the best belt driven wheel for sure. Never tried it myself so I don't lnow at what extent it can compare to direct drive, but the DD pro is an amazing wheel and probably the best console wheel as for now. The new Logitech DD wheel seems amazing too, but too much expensive for the upgrade and still doesn't have compatible shifter or handbrake. Got the DD pro premium bundle, which contains the 8nm adapter and load cell pedal, for the equivalent of 1000 USD. With the shifter, handbrake and the few adjustments I made, I had the whole thing for around 1500$ since I managed to adapt it to my previous rig (a 90$ wheelstand and a second hand Playseat challenge I paid less than 100$!). It's a budget for sure, but it was totally worth the investment, especially thinking that's it's the price of the Logitech PRO racing wheel with the pedals only!... I tried it in VR on GT sport with max FFB settings and on dirt track rwo days ago. And man, that was a thrilling experience! Sit rep: spent all even flicking between original setting and 5. I think a good example is getting into GR3 GTR and powering out of a turn early to cause a power slide. With it on 5, I can catch the drift easier, and I don't over correct like I sometimes do on full controller sens. T1 at Deep Forest is a good corner to try.

    @Sim Action Clips for me: It's as if my wheel has to be rotated at a greater angle to induce a power slide, but beforehand, when this happened, I used to over correct and bin it. It's almost like the top replays now when you see them slide in and power out in a controlled fashion. Managed a mid 25's at deep forest on RM's after my comment last night, which was a PB of mine.

That's because it's much easier and faster to turn from lock to lock using a controller, and also the physics change actually when using a controller and become much more forgiving. But it looks and feels so weird and unnatural. My part1 of the tutorial is almost finished and I'm explaining with visuals why your slide either doesn't even start or you send it into an immediate spin, and how to understand and interpret the force feedback coming from the wheel along with the most important part of drift control which is your input to the throttle pedal.

    Thank you! I've just dropped a video about the FFB changes after the update since many are asking for it: kzread.info/dash/bejne/o3ek2peeddurc7w.html To be honest I didn't try anything not RWD after the update yet. So I'll give it a go soon and let you know what I think. But judging by how the ffb changed, I think I know what's happening when you try to drift AWD cars. For the same reasons described in the new video, you'll be most probably feeling the wheel getting very light when sliding all 4 wheels. That should be normal as that's what happens in real life too. Sliding AWD cars even with 30/70 torque split requires different techniques than sliding RWD cars. It's one of the subjects to cover in one of the coming parts of my drifting tutorial series. But just a quick hint, to make it behave a bit similar to a RWD car during the drift, you'll need much more gentle throttle change than how you do it with the RWD car, and almost never going full throttle. Otherwise you'll need to keep steering in instead of counter-steering. You'll be switching very frequently between counter-steering and steering inwards. A more steady drift will only occur with the wheel pointing almost forward with minor adjustments. Anyway I'll let you know if I find anything unusual when I test the GTR 🤟🏻🤟🏻

    Got Thrustmaster T300 recently. The best settings for me are sens at 5, ff torque at 5, and ff sens at 10. Today I found an article saying best ff settings for this wheel are fft at 4 and ffs at 2. Tried it, feels weird. I only worry if fft at 5 is too high and will damage the wheel. For some corners, it feels too stiff. I've tried setting it at 4, but that doesn't feel as responsive. What do you thing? Can running my settings damage the wheel long term? Thanks!

  • @SimActionClips

    @SimActionClips

    Жыл бұрын

    I don't think setting the torque to 5 will damage your wheel. Not sure about higher values close to 10 but definitely not at 5. People who recommend the value of 4 are only worried about clipping of higher forces. You got nothing to worry about especially that it doesn't feel much responsive at 4. If it feels too stiff for some cars, like the super formula cars for example, you can still lower the torque when driving such cars. Also think about it this way: my TGT 2 has much higher torque than your t300, and i find that i have to set the torque at least to 6 for it to be normally responsive. Logical speaking, and knowing the way it works, i surely would set the torque higher than 6 of i had a t300. So yeah 5 is safe for sure.

  • @tihi_994

    @tihi_994

    @@SimActionClips Thanks for the response! Will definitely have to play with the settings a bit more. Sensitivity is perfect at 5, and the ff sensitivity at 10 as well. Since I'm new to the sim racing and wheels, I thought that having ff torque at 6 might result in clipping after reading some comments.

  • @SimActionClips

    @SimActionClips

    Жыл бұрын

    You're welcome man! And it will most probably result in clipping of the higher forces. But clipping at such level is not so important. Actually there are more important lower forces that you won't be able to feel at lower torque values. So it's a compromise. The higher forces that will be clipped at the torque of 6 won't really matter as much as these gained lower forces that are more critical for car control as i described in both my drifting tutorial video and my ffb settings video. So people all over the internet just repeat the same idea over and over again of "you should set this and that to avoid clipping" without even thinking of what they actually want from the ffb.

I use max torque at 6 for my TGT 2. If you’re not using the booster kit try max torque at 6 or 7 and see which is best. And if you're using the booster kit you should go below 6 with the max torque setting. I think 4 or less but you should test that. @@SimActionClips The strong feel definitely helps with grip feedback and I enjoyed it for racing on Suzuki, was helpful. TBH, don't love the feel on high speed straights: My G29 starts kind of bouncing/vibrating between L/R if I'm even slightly outside the deadzone on either side of straight wheel... Easy to control, but a bit annoying and unrealistic feeling. Should I dial back Torque a bit maybe? Regarding controller, sometimes I play when I'm couch-locked and don't feel like sitting in the rig. Adaptive triggers very nice for wheelspin feedback. Haven't dialed-in steering sensitivity yet, but will do some experiments.

    Yeah i feel you regarding the strong torque and oscillations at the center. I couldn't find a compromise. You can dial down the torque a bit if it still feels good for you. I found that the responsiveness when drifting goes down if I lower the torque, so I had to compromise the smoothness of the feel and stability of the wheel at the center, for fatser responsiveness when doing transitions.

    I've never experienced nor heard of the motors burning on any of these wheels. The only thing to be concerned about - in general - is the gear. I used to do regular maintenance for it at least once per year ,where would disassemble it and remove the dirty and old grease and put new grease on it. It worked perfectly for so many years. I wouldn't recommend that though, if you're not good with tools or not sure how to reassemble it the right way.

    You can calibrate all the pedals in the settings menu. But that's only calibration and adjustment of the dead zones. I modified my brake pedal physically on the G29 by installing a stiffer spring and adding a longer rubber chunk at the center of it. You can also physically swap the clutch pedal with the brake pedal if you like, but for all of this you have to take the pedals case apart.

    I've spent Friday night and all of Saturday further testing and tweaking things, just to confirm to myself if all the FFB settings still work the same, and they all do. It's still best to follow the instructions in this video and everything still applies the same. Controller steering sensitivity is still best at 5 for the same old reasons. FFB sensitivity is still best and most realistic at 10 too. I'm making a short video to explain how the feel in the FFB has changed, why it is better now, and why people who got used to the previous FFB are feeling it weird. It's much more realistic now and much more controllable once you know what's going on. I'm having much more fun drifting now and both the feel and the physics make more sense! A key obvious point is that understeering is much more easily detectable now, that's when the steering wheel becomes light. I'll be explaining how to make good advantage of that.

  • @terrylu4894

    interesting... so controller sensitivity does affect wheels as well? Any telemetry data to support it? Because last time I checked the animation in the cockpit view, the in game wheel turned the same degree as I turned in real life, no matter what the sensitivity was.

  • @SimActionClips

    @SimActionClips

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes the in game wheel animation always follows the same degree as your wheel. I even think the animation of the front wheels also follows it the same. What gets affected though is the model of the front wheels in the physics. It's like it shows you something and it does something else. The physics part of the front wheels only follows your wheel and hence their animation only when you set the controller steering sensitivity to 5. That's why it looks and feels weird when using a different value. What telemetry data do you suggest to help show it better visually? I have many people clearly seing the difference in the slalom test i did in the video, and the difference in the ffb is very obvious when you do some drifting. I think this effect was most probably unintentional from PD's side but it is there and has always been there since GT Sport.

    Congrats on your new wheel bro! Enjoy it, it's totally worth it. And you're welcome! My G29 makes 2.1 nm of torque and I set it to 10 which is the max setting (I would have gone higher if that exists). Your T300 RS makes 3.6 nm of torque so I suggest you try the settings from 7 to 10. I think it most probably should be closer to 10. But all of these values are related to setting the controller steering sensitivity to 5 and the force feedback sensitivity to 10. It should feel not too heavy but also be quick enough to rotate and do the counter-steering properly when needed.

    To be honest, in my opinion, I wish that in GT or any other sim they just optimize the ffb themselves to be as realistic as possible for every single steering wheel available in the market and remove all the customization settings. We would only have to select which wheel we are using and the ffb would be optimized for that particular wheel to give the closest feel possible to the real car you're driving. As long as they know how to do it right which i doubt.

    Hold on, I just got my wheel yesterday, and connected it on PS5 with GT7 and PSVR2, the steering while driving felt like dead on the road. I didnt feel the road. So I just found your video after searching for a FFB because I - somehow - felt like it us not right, this is a pricey wheel how come it doesn't vibrate even a bit when I am driving. So are your settings giving this FFB and vibration on the road so that I will then feel the road realistically? And thanks for the video!

  • @SimActionClips

    @SimActionClips

    Жыл бұрын

    How much vibrations you feel from the road depends on the capabilities of your wheel. The g29 doesn't give you much details especially when you set it right as I'm recommending. You need to compromise between what you're calling feeling the road and the more important forces related to the change of direction at the front wheels. Setting the force feedback sensitivity to 10 gives you the most realistic feel within your wheel's capabilities. Setting the force feedback sensitivity to lower values will give you that "more feel of the road" with little vibrations, but it will kill the more important forces and delay them, ruining your control over the car in general. If you upgrade to a Thrustmaster TGT2 you'll be able to better feel these details from the road, which are produced by a special transducer on the wheel which works only with Gran Turismo. If you upgrade further to a direct drive wheel you'll feel every single detail much better. Unfortunately we only get what we pay for, and more realistic feel is expensive. You're welcome man, I hope this helps.

    Hey man, yes i would highly recommend putting it on a wall mount with an extended arm that lets you at least move it left and right. That's what i did. 2 big advantages: 1- your TV is independently mounted from your cockpit to avoid any vibrations and you get a totally free area underneath it. 2- You need to keep moving your TV left and right while switching cars in Gran Turimso because not all cockpits have the same center in game. Make sure you measure exactly how high you want your TV to be from the ground to perfectly hide the virtual steering wheel behind yours. You have a very narrow range of in game height adjustment so keep that in mind.

    So I'm just curious, do these settings replicate (more or less, obviously can't mirror reality) how a car feels in real life to steer? I've been seeing a lot of FFB stuff that seems to "gamify" the sim for better lap times or easier handling instead of producing a more "realistic" and grounded experience. I'd rather have settings that put me closer to reality than making a car easier to handle in the long run. Can anyone point me to a good source for FFB settings for a grounded experience? I use the logitech G Pro 11nm wheel.

  • @SimActionClips

    @SimActionClips

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes these settings do exactly that. I prefer it the same way as you do and my aim was to replicate the real feel as much as possible. In my opinion this also should make it easier to go faster and have better control on the long run for experienced drivers, well at least to me. these settings should work the same for all wheels and you should only adjust the "max torque" setting depending on which wheel you're using. I set the max torque to 6 for my TGTII which has 6Nm of torque. I think you should set it lower than 6 for your G Pro. Decrease it gradually while testing it until you feel it reasonably close to real life. The other too settings - especially the controller steering sensitivity set to 5 - are crucial to have the most realistic feel.

    Just remove the dead-zone completely, and make sure you push it all the way through when calibrating. If you're good with tools and disassembling things, you can do what I did to improve the feel of the pedal. I replaced the spring with a stiffer one and added another piece of rubber to the one already inside the brake pedal to make it thicker (or you can just replace it with a thicker one if possible). I kept on modifying the thickness until it made it easy for me to always hit 80% when I want to, while relying on the feel of the pedal.

    Using same settings as you, torque 10 with Thrustmaster T150 feels very harsh and it is very hard to steer even at 6. Do you also have the same issue and just keep it like that for drifting in this game? Because in assetto corsa you don’t have to increase torque this much to drift.

  • @SimActionClips

    @SimActionClips

    Ай бұрын

    You need that torque for the wheel to turn fast enough. And I do the same in assetto corsa by increasing the gain. Most people don't use high grip setups for drifting in assetto corsa and everything is in "slow motion", that's why it feels like you don't need more. You can do the same in GT7 by using comfort hard tires but that's more like ice skating than drifting.

    Awesome man you're welcome! and thanks a lot for your feedback. Yes the menu is misleading and has always been, but I think it has to do with poor translation from Japanese to English. Actually I would prefer it if all sims just remove all the ffb settings and just tweek the force feedback themselves to give the most realistic feel for each possible steering wheel automatically. But I highly doubt they know how to do it (all sim developers lol). In my video I recommended 6 max torque for the TGT2 but I would recommend that each user changes it depending on his steering wheel (that's the only setting to change relative to mine). Which DD are you using, is it the DD Pro? And if so, are you using the booster kit or not? Maybe the torque reason is also for overheating but i actually havent gotten that yet. I wish you had another mid end wheel for this test. TGT2 is like 3 leaps ahead of t300. Also i have a t150 and tried some settings it was kinda upsetting at first cus AC ffb is just so good(even on a t150 its crazy). PS, i think its the brake feeling i miss the most. theres nothing in gt7

    Hello, I retested everything after the ffb rework of update 1.31 and made another video about it explaining why I kept the same settings and why these felt different but better after that update: kzread.info/dash/bejne/o3ek2peeddurc7w.html I also explained in it what changed and what one should expect from the new ffb, which is enhanced feel of understeering that got people so confused. In the most recent update (patch 1.41) things felt much better than ever before after they ruined the feel a bit and maybe the physics in update 1.40. Patch 1.41 had some good hotfixes in it. Regarding the low torque suggestions, well from my own experience, I find the majority of mainstream information regarding ffb all over the internet is full misconceptions and false information. I researched for years since GT Sport came out, and even before that for Assetto Corsa on PC, and couldn't find any good guide nor good settings. Seems like everyone just copies information from each other which in big part if not all is wrong and misleading. Never felt anything realistic nor even useful from the ffb for some good "at the edge control" until I started doing some extensive testing and tweaking myself. It was the main reason for having the idea to make this video, and it wasn't until I discovered how the controller steering sensitivity changed the behavior (contrary to what others state and even PD themselves in game) that things started to fall in place and I was able to get to this combination of settings. The overheating issues can be solved with some cooling mods for the T300 which you can easily find with some quick research. The main reason for suggesting low torque by everyone is to "avoid clipping" which is silly in my opinion because lowering the torque makes you lose the lower-end forces which are far more important than the differences at the high range. You should use the same settings as the G29 for the T150 which are: - Controller steering sensitivity: 5 - Max torque: 10 - Force feedback sensitivity: 10 Also as stated in the video the only thing that would be different for your T300 is the max torque setting. So think about it this way: your t300 is somewhere in between the G29 and the TGT2. I use 10 for the G29 and 6 for the TGT2. So you only have 7,8,9 and maybe 10 to test with, and these are just 4 different possibilities which you can test and decide for yourself. I would for sure keep the other 2 settings the same for all steering wheels, at least non-dd wheels. You're right about the brake feel especial with standard Thrustmaster pedals, which in my opinion are the worst. Even the brake pedal of the G29 feels much better than that. And I sure don't need to mention the difference provided by the T-LCM pedals.

    Hey bro. Have you replicated that on multiple wheels? I know you know what you're talking about but I just don't feel this does anything on thrustmaster wheels. Maybe this is PDs way of giving G29 users something to adjust when thrustmaster and other wheels can adjust string ratio by changing wheel max rotation. Its too bad I don't have a wheel right now to test it lol.

    Anyway, well done for the shock value of this video ahah. and pretty saddening to think that PD can't be bothered to explain correctly what their settings do in every scenario.

    Yes man for sure! It was actually on my new TGTII that i discovered the right setting of 5 lol. I had to go back to my G29 just to confirm that it's the same there. I ended up regretting all the months wasted on the wrong settings because of how much better it felt lol.

    Thanks a lot bro! And yeah tell me about jt! I spent years on GT Sport knowing that the controller sensitivity changes things a lot for the steering wheel, opposite to what they say, yet always failing to figure out the right values. I'm pretty sure i can immediately figure them out now using the same test, and most probably the values are gonna be the same 🤣

    And i was postponing the making of this video since many months now, because i wanted to get everything clear and confirmed btw. I wouldn't want to give any info that i'm not 100% sure of. This video is also a very important prerequisite for my upcoming drift tutorials, which i'm counting on to blow up this channel lol

    @@SimActionClips Thank you for showing us the way! Honestly I'm excited by the prospect of enjoying an even more realistic GT when I get a wheel again. (btw what's the default value of the setting, I'm probably never adjusted it in GT7 before a couple of weeks ago when I started playing on the controller). But sadly I predict that a lot of guys in the drift community will set it to 10 just as so many set their thrustmasters to 270 on their comfort hards 😂

    I dont know why, but my G29 starts vibrating a lot in some situations from torque set at 7 onwards. Is something wrong with my wheel?

  • @SimActionClips

    Yeah that's normal with the G29, it's because of the gear mechanism. I had to compromise smoothness for better responsiveness by setting it to 10. If you're concerned about its health you can keep at 7, it's still not so bad.

    You're welcome! The G923 is a very good wheel but it has its limitations especially when drifting. Its rotation speed is slow and not enough to mimic what the steering wheel of a real drift machine can do. That's why i had to always help it with my hands to spin fast enough (I had a G29 but it's not very different), instead of just letting go of it like I now do with my TGTII and in real life. But as I said, it's still a very good wheel, and should be a total game changer if you never used a wheel before with GT7.

    @@SimActionClips Yes I've heard about all the Pros and Cons for the wheel itself but I still am happy with how it looks and performs! Can't wait to get my hands on it and actually try it because I've never tried a wheel with GT7 but mainly I'll be using it for racing rather than drifting!

    Yeah it also still has its limitations when racing but not as severely as in drifting. It was always easy for me to rank in the top 50 for my region (EMEA) in the daily races using the G29 since GT Sport.

    My problem is I grew up racing bikes, karts etc. Im used to a 360 degree wheel turn for lock. Is there a way to make the wheel lock at 360 degrees like an outlaw, formula car etc?

  • @SimActionClips

    If you're using a Thrustmaster TGT yes you can, by switching between 5 steering angle modes on the wheel itself. I think this option is also available on some other Thrustmaster and Fanatec wheels. On the G29 no you can't. Also all these wheels automatically follow the in game steering angle set for each car automatically by default. So how much your wheel turns by default depends on which car you're driving. In Gr.3 cars for example, the wheel turns much less than when driving road cars. Personally I would recommend you get used to the steering angle provided by default in the game since it's what feels most realistic and fun. Also when you set road cars to 360 degrees they will feel weird in my opinion and not very pleasant. But I do understand that what you're asking for might be more fun to you.

    Anyone know or can help me find the highest possible torque for the t150 without clipping

  • @SimActionClips

    @SimActionClips

    Жыл бұрын

    Trust me and don't bother yourself much with clipping. The lower forces are much more important than the higher ones that you're gonna clip if you go higher on the torque. Just start with a somehow low torque, and keep increasing it until you feel that the wheel has some significant force that is similar to the real thing. Even if clipping occurs, you'll be much better in control and it feels much more natural. Don't listen to people who has higher end wheels and direct drives, their wheels are much more capable at lower torque settings.
