In the UK we have never here’d of any of them apart from the Gocycle which is way to expensive but I have ridden one and they are ok.

I’m surprised RideUp1 Portola didn’t make the list? Can you tell me why? 750W, 10.4Ah battery, 20x3” wheels, 8 speed, dic brakes, class2 can be 1 or 3, 59 lbs and one of the smallest when folded????? Please let me know why this bike was not included. It’s my #1 pick at this point.

I ride 2024 Portola now and guess what, even if seems a quality equipped ebike for $1K and below price range I have experienced a serious operation problem Ride1Up was not helpful to resolve yet permanently. It’s a intermittent hydraulic brake level sensor cut-off that after braking is loosing the PAS and throttle power. It should not have happened for this price range and I have not experienced it with my previous two ebikes I had? This intermittent brake problem became permanent generating error code 25. So, I got some help with my local bike shop but the problem again appeared, while Ride1Up does not have established post-sale local bike shops partnership and almost all of the bike shops in my area refused to service Portola. And R1U did not address this issue how their post-sale customers of Portola will get support locally. Therefore thinking of reselling this model. So, it’s your guess why Ride1Up Portola did not make the best folders in the review of $1K and below step-thru e-bikes today.

Not much use if you don't give battery amps. Bullshit range lies are not good enough.

Yeah you can ride these like a normal manual bike if the battery runs out.

​@@JC0398x_oI can tell you right now that the Lectric XP Lite should not be ridden with a dead battery. You will be fighting the motor and will become physically exhausted really quickly. There's no way to disengage from the motor, either.

ado a16+ is much better than all of these. Only thing it lacks is more bigger battery and a carrier.

Most too expensive to be relevant for me.
