Bhai, I have 3 ques please help nd clear my doubts 1) My lipstick aglaonema's new leaf bud is transparent . Is it bcoz of cold temp or water stress? 2) my mini variegated aralia leaves are turning brown and shedding. Does this happen normally in winter?(in contrast green aralia is fine) 3) I kept my green dieffenbachia on open roof in these days for light(also during night). Now It has developed brown dull color on leaves. Is it also bcoz of cold temperature or any other reason like fungus etc.

Mam abi kisi bhi plant ki soil change ya plant ko repot na kare ....kyu ki is time winter me sabhi summer Plants sleep mode me chale jatay ha ......aur apni growth rok dete ha isliye aap abi soil change na karen......jab March ka month suru ho jaye tab aap soil change kare ........kyu ki March me summer Plants apne aap...... growth suru kar dete ha .

Mam cocopeat coconuts ke chilkay se banaya jata ha aur peat moss kisi other natural materials as banta ha ....jo kafi costly ata ha ise har koi ni le skta .

yes completely different. Coco Peat is dried and processed coconut fiber. Peat Moss is a dried form of living *Sphagnum Moss* . Some people also mix a few varieties of mosses to make peat moss. Coco peat is way cheaper than peat moss (Sphagnum moss). Peat moss is a better growing medium for plants than coco peat as it only holds sufficient not excessive amount of water like coco peat.

Peat moss is a more premium alternative of coco peat and Leaf compost is best type of compost. On top of that we are using 40% as leaf compost so obviously that's more than enough fertiliser for a long long time 🤣 Castor cake is again a premium alternative of mustard cake. So obviously this is great potting mix but we need to consider cost as well. Succelents need very little potting mix so 200 per kg is not that big a deal but indoor plants are grown in 12 to 14 inch pots and 200 per kg is not a joke when normal potting mixes are available for 10 rs per kg. Most ppl don't even use that and just use common soil and that's provided free by most nurseries. I used common soil plus vermi compost for years and had great results so it's not like this is the only potting mix in which indoor plants could thrive 👍 Maybe another version of potting mix is needed as well for indoor plants with reasonable price. Ferrari is a nice car but not everyone can drive around in that 🤣

yeah but coco peat is really not good for indoor plants (when you keep the plants indoors) as it holds excessive water and doesn't dry up easily, which causes root rot. Coco peat can be a good alternate for plants if they are getting at least 2-3 hrs of sunlight.

@@saliimmohammed9152 cocopeat is used all over the world for indoor plants as a cost effective and sustainable alternative to peat moss so it's not like it can't be used. Both peat moss and cocopeat are well known to retain lot of moisture and we just need to adjust our watering schedule accordingly. These mediums are known to retain moisture without being soggy. Add to that airation ability and it's obvious why plants love them. Having said that, obviously peat moss is slightly better and I even agreed it's a more premium alternative. One key difference is the decomposition rate. Cocopeat normally remains cocopeat for 3 to 4 years but peat moss remains peat moss for way longer. However, this doesn't mean that we need to change the potting mix after 4 years as by that time plant has well developed rooting system and even at that stage its converted to loose soil which is again good for plants. Apart from this sometimes cocopeat has high salt content and sometimes it has some chemicals added to it. All this could make the pH unstable so peat moss is better if you can afford it. The point was that all the top ingredients are used in this potting mix which has made the cost 200 per kg. That's too much for almost everyone specially when it comes to indoor plants as they need large pots. Lastly it's not like cheaper alternatives are not available for these materials so I simply requested for another cost effective and practicle potting mix

Peat moss ak organic West se banta ha mam .....but iska production India me bhot kam hota ha .....aur ye har jagah ni milta aur kafi costly hota ha. ...... isliye is se accha cocopeat hota ha .....aur sasta bhi.......aur agr vo bhi na mile to sand sabse best ha ..... indoor aur outdoors ke liye .

Right mam ye sab har jagah ni milta aur ye kafi costly hota ha .....aap ak kam karenn....... indoor plants ke liye .....yamuna river sand.......soil ......aur vermicompost .....ya gobar khad ......ke mixture me lagaye plant ki growth .....acchi rahegi ......aur jo material mane banaya ha vo apko har jagah mil jayega . Mai khud apne plants ko is soil me lagata hu . Indoor plants ko lagane ke liye aap is tarah ki mitti me lagaye ....50% mitti 30%sand 20% compost kisi bhi tarah ki ......ap ye soil mix use karen isme plant acchi grow karenge .....aur indoor plants hamesha bhot kam .....khad mangte ha . Bas aap har month me ak mutthi ....gobar khad ya vermicompost de de bas vahi indoor plants ke liye kafi ha.
