Excellent camera idea! What teleprompter software can I use to show script directly on my screen, rather than using a teleprompter "setup" (tray, iPad, angled glass, etc)?

I love your videos, but not so sure about buying stuff off Indiegogo.... I purchased this camera at the end of September 2022, based on your recommendation, it is now 1/11/2023 and I received an email this morning stating the shipping label had been printed. Nothing has shipped yet. This is the moment that I really needed this camera to record my course videos, I'm excited to receive it any day now.... *update: I received this camera on 1/31/2023 and so far I love it! Thank you!

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on this. I was also originally looking for a teleprompter to record scripted videos, but it just felt like an expensive, clunky, and space-consuming option. Having a discrete, small camera attached like this one seems to be the practical solution. Out of curiosity, which teleprompter app do you use/recommend? I noticed you using one at around 5:25 in this video. That would probably be just fine for me. Thanks!

For a computer, I like Speakflow www.speakflow.com/?via=brighton. For an ipad or android, I prefer PromptSmart

I've been following this camera for a while. Seems like an awesome solution. I've been doing a lot of interviews and it does feel weird to be looking down at my monitor instead of making eye contact. I thought magnets were really bad for monitors though. Is that not the case anymore? I was told they could ruin electronics.

Magnets were bad for the old style of monitor, but not a problem for flat monitors (at least that's what i've heard.)

Do you know a Switch for USB Webcams. I have the problem. I use 3 monitors. 1x27 inch left middle 32 inch right 27 in monitor. When I look to the left or the right monitor my eyes are not looking into the camera. I would lile to place 3 USB Webcams and then swith the cameras when I look in the repective monitor so that the person on the videocall always thinks that I am looking into his eyes. Do you have any recommandation what to use.

Tina - just click the single webcam or two pack on the right side of the screen. Then "get this perk." Then you'll put in your info including credit card. Your bank will translate the currencies. Indiegogo is a very safe platform. And this project is fully funded, so they will definitely ship (versus other projects where you contribute early on where the product is not yet completed.)

Looks like the MECA is on back order. Any alternatives? I have a really good webcam already Razer Kylo Pro, but I can't use pc monitor as teleprompter or do zoom eye contact. Any advice? Thanks!

Another option that works well is expensive, but you may already own everything you need. Take a DSLR with a zoom lens of about 100mm and mount it on a tripod about 10-12 feet away from you. Use the manufacturer's feature to convert your DSLR into a webcam for free (Canon has a download). Place a monitor or laptop slightly off-center so it is just out of view of the camera's lens. Conduct your meeting normally. The distance of the camera will make the eye contact seem perfect. All I needed to buy was a longer USB cable to make the camera reach the laptop, and the video quality is superb - far better than any webcam. In fact, I often get questions from people asking me what kind of camera I'm using because the quality is much higher.
