Everyone saying that they're "half naked" and "skinny" and "gay", have probably never did any hard exercise a day in their lives. Do 5 laps around the block in 90 degree weather, carrying 40 pounds worth of equipment, wearing a thick band uniform, and you will know why they've dressed lightly and are rolling up their shorts. If this surprises you, you'd be appalled at my old school's men's gym uniforms. Had thin shorts up to our thighs, shirtless of course, and no one (except dirty minded people and pervs who actually pay attention to that kind of thing) gave a fuck. We didn't even wear underwear, only jock straps. It's a matter of comfort, not attraction. Of anyone, I would think that all you ladies would understand. Getting slut-shamed for what you wear; aren't you doing basically the same thing, right now? Get your heads out of the gutter.

One year during band competition we were in the middle of being judged & out of no where a freak storm came, with lightening & huge hail rocks were bolting us & our instruments! The Judges ran for cover, but we had to remain in line & at attention!!! We didn't budge until our Drum Major blew his whistle to play & March... We did just that - no matter how uncomfortable we were we didnt even flinch a muscle or blink an eye! We were soaked to the bones even though we were in those hot uniforms, the rain soaked us. This was in the 1980s so everyone in band wore those huge furry hats & giant, stiff uniforms. Anyway, We Won The Sweepstakes!!! The Drum Major won for his amazing routine, also our Drummers won for their outstanding electric percussion performances, & the whole band won top prizes... and we went home with The Sweetstakes!!! Oh, it was sooo exciting driving back to the Bay Area, even our Bus Drivers were thrilled - they honked their horns as we drove back into town, through town & all the way to the Scvhool!!! Perhaps the Storm had something to do with it??? Actually, it was our Band Instructor who made us practice & work extra hard on all our routines & musically - we were READY!

sorry, but no. One guy scratching his ear during the first set (Ö:39), head movments and angles differently off and on, little details, liek first notes off beat, etc.. From my POV they are lacking a bit of stoicism. something e.g. Top Secret Drum Corps from Basle delivers to perfection. These guys are definitely good, great line, there is lot of room for improvement until becoming "best ever".

Matt Olmar Top secret isn’t seen as the best drumline ever as drumline culture is a lot different than it used to be, focusing more on the music they are playing and the performance, less about ideas of perfect unity, Look at the top Lime I’m DCI, Santa Clara Vangaurd, there snare players don’t use the exact same technique and don’t focus to hard and exact matching across the line

People seem to be under the impression that this is "marching band." Quite, simply put, it isn't. This is DCI, its on a whole nother level. Its hardly even comparable. I would consider this to be a sport, not marching band, and if you were to see or experience the work these people put forth in grueling conditions, you would understand too. And yes, that is also why they are wearing, or more so, not wearing clothes, in rehersal.
