I love the quick release camera! Brilliant!

I am currently looking at drones to to enhance my fishing videos. Currently there are very few fishing videos out where aerial did are in the videos. I think there's a huge market for this if given the chance. Now I am very new to flying drones. I flew my first drone 3 weeks ago which was a nano. This past week I received my Force1 F200C. I've gotten the hang of flying now, but by far I am no expert. So a drone like the Autel X-Star seems like a smart next step for me. Thank you for sharing this with everyone. Very informative video. Especially for us just starting out and weighing all the options out there.

I guess the primary reason I would want a camera drone, like the XSP, would be to "explore" - visually. Live in a rural area of AZ and keep thinking the ability to cruise around the area would be pretty cool! To do this completely would, for me, mean adding a set of VR Goggles to the tablet monitor. Several lower-end tablets DO have an HDMI "out" port; Nvidia Shield, is probably the most commonly used, but I'm looking at a few others that offer that feature. Haven't made the big purchase, but with the holiday sales, still considering P4 and XSP.

I now own the Autel and am so moved by the quality of the unit and camera system. I used to have a Phantom 1 and for 3 years did a lot of videos. But using the GoPro camera was good but no where near 4k video. This is one very awesome aerial system!

does it come with geo fencing like the DJi where you can't take off in NFZ ?

Love these things, I live in the Caribbean, lots of drone worthy shots.

In the market for a higher end quad and I would really like and Autel. Been looking at Autel, GDU, Yuneec, and DJI. Of the 4 DJI has it now, not a promise of sometime in 2017. 20 mp camera, 1 inch cmos, stronger signal, obstacle avoidance, even active track, to name a few. I believe that at some point in time that at least 2 of the other 3 will have something as good as if not better than the P4P, just not next week. There are features in the other 3 that I would love, removable gimbal, ability to carry heavier payload, and not white. I wonder how much trouble I would get in if I painted a P4P candie apple red. 8*)

G' day from the land down under. I agree with everything you said. It's a fantastic drone. I have owned 3 DJI phantoms and always flew in fear. This thing is just fantastic. So for all the "unsure" people out there, get it... this is the best drone for the money.

I think this might be my first serious drone? Im liking the reviews so far.

Ranches in New Mexico can have rugged terrain, and driving about to locate free-range livestock is time consuming, to say the least. I think that using a good drone like the X-Star would find much utility for such an application!

my drone is affordable and it do the same as phantom 4 does or inspire 1 it has a 4k hd camera on it can fly 1 mile away and 600 feet in the air when you get out of range it beeps on your remote telling you to bring it back fast and its a really good drone for under 200 dollar not only that I can press a button to land it or hold attitude

Don't forget the camera gimbal is also removable, which means you can swap with better cameras in the future

What's the purpose of rebadging the dji phantom? Why not make it different? Asides from the orange obvs.

the orange is perfect looks amazing.. easier to see is the big point tho, white blends in with sky in most cases, there is a reason CAL-TRANS wears orange :)

DJI phantom and mavic fly much longer and further! Yes they cost a little more. Bu the advertized 4k camera, 3-axis gimbal,25 min flightime in this video are more like moderate features today. Not bad but not really special

If I'm gonna spend 749.00, I would up it a little and get the DJI Mavic Pro....

FAA still hasn't given rules for flying drones from ground station ,tablet out of eye sight so flying your drone out of line of sight ,but with the new tech on these drones they will return if loss of wireless controller ,like my Bebop I can fly almost 2 miles on camera a permission from my area tower ,I have spotters with great eyes but I make sure my drone has navigation lights that allow any body to see it from five miles in the air and ground ,tower had called me to tell me they see me four miles away !

why didnt you tell us how much it costs in the video

I love the Autel X-Star Premium and I now have two. But here is the downside, they don't make them anymore and you can't get parts or even new batteries. Autel has completely abandoned the X Star community which has been supporting them from the start.....Autel has turned it's back on us, I have to ask myself do I want to continue to buy or invest in there products when this is there company outlook towards it's customers?

My wife said i can get one!!! What should i do!? Is it a trap!? Should i head to best buy right now and get one!?

The light bridge is very helpful over wifi quads and in the city with so many obstructions I would go for a mavi or phantom 4.

Wow you can send you drone way beyond the legal limit for flying it. Impressive the ability to easily exceed FAA limitations. That is one of the features that everyone keeps singing the praises of for all the different drones. Just wait till the FAA puts their foot down and they new drones only have 400 foot range.BTW how many people REALLY have the ability to edit 4K? I will bet less than 1% of your followers. Yes 4K is pretty, but if you want truly edit it and do proper post production, you need a computer that costs >5 times what the Autel X-Star premium costs.

You are wrong about 4k. Lots of people can edit 4k and there is one GREAT advantage, even if you (like I do) render to 1080: You can zoom in and crop without losing any quality - it is like having a 2 camera shot.

A stronger signal is a stronger signal. What better way to compare signal strength, at least one most people can understand, then how far the bird will fly. Whether 100' or 400' away I would want the strongest signal I could get.

400' is the specification for max altitude only, line of sight is how far you can see. www.faa.gov/uas/

wow. 900.00 is not affordable to most people. that is great compared to commercial drones, but few hobbyists can plunk down that kind of cash.

Tim Ottinger I agree that's why I bought a budget drone still do every thing that phantom 4 does hd camera and 4k for under 200 dollar I can fly up to 600 feet up and away with out losing the drone and I can press a button to land it by its on self

Let's see. Flying over a populated city area: against the FAA rules. Flying 1.2 miles away. Can you really see the drone at that distance. You may have to use a spotter. Probably against the FAA rules. Flying over people, definitely against the FAA rules. I would love to buy a drone, but the FAA has prohibited flying any place of interest to me. Then the Federal Parks have banned drones, and guess what, almost all the state and local parks have banned them too. It doesn't matter how much money you save when all you can do is fly them basically in out of the way fields.

I've seen a few demo vids and reviews on this "clone", and I can't see why someone would get this instead of the DJI. Example: The Phantom 3 with the 4k camera option is only $598 with free shipping on Amazon.com. The Original Phantom 3 Pro (which comes stock with the 4k camera) is only $792.99. But taking into consideration all the new rules/guidelines that the US and Canadian governments are trying to implement for this hobby (example, limiting total flight height and line of sight distance), the Phantom 3 Standard would be the one I would get, and it's only $399 right now (almost half the price of this clone).

Wow, how refreshing, someone with a brain. If you have the computing power go for the Phantom 4K, at least you will have the better camera for not much more, just remember what you will need for a computer to edit it.
