50 USD or AUD? Ebay in USA has prices from 40 to 71 USD plus shipping. I thought I was being critical previously. Your critique was intense. I would love to play a game one of your tables! I can only imagine how immersive it must be. Thank you for sharing!

I think it was $50aud but the price really does vary a lot. Especially with the older kits. Some are over $150 here which is just nuts. I felt like for the price I had to be critical as it's a lot of money. They do such a great job with the base colours but go a bit slack with the easy stuff which is a little frustrating but not a game changer.

A big fan of Diecast, I have a bunch of Atayla, dragon and Fabbri, all need a bit of work but overall really nice for the price. Cheers Matt

I have some diecast armor, and some that are plastic, but they look superb. I’m working on building more also, but the diecast look great and beef up my forces faster than I can build and paint them

Seeing these on the table, crazy how good they look! Especially when you add a little bit of your weathering touch, I couldn’t tell they were pre paints! Shame some of the cooler ones are in the 100s 😢

So true mate! We need another game 😉 I think some of those steep prices are people just hoping to get a crazy deal. It's stupid money really.

3:10 At first I thought it was a quality control defect, because previously I watched a video review of the same SDKFZ 251 Pak 40 because the reviewer was surprised because the turret came off. I also thought it was damage due to bad shipping. LOL

I'm not fussy at all about the paint job, however I would like to know what percentage of these dragon models are actually metal? And how durable are they for wargaming? Are the turrets, gun, wheels tracks all metal too? Do they have little plastic pieces attached to the that break off easily like the halftrack? Great video BTW.

  • @paintingpanzers

Honestly, I think most of them are just their plastic kits painted up. Not many are metal that I've found. They're certainly durable but the little MGs on the back of the halftrack would probably snap easily but that's like most wargaming models. Most of the items are secured nicely so I think you'll find them useful and not easily broken. Cheers mate 😁😁

The newer prebuilt models are mostly plastic and the early ones were diecast with plastic

Previously I bought a Hobby Master M10 Wolverine. The lower hull is made of diecast and the rest is plastic, I kept it for several years before selling it in 2023. Does this Neo Dragon Armor have strong plastic? are they very fragile? The problem is, I watched several videos and it looks like the quality control is not good?

Ah interesting ... 🤔 the Neo series is pretty strong, I mean they can definitely take a bit of use before showing much damage. It's more the small parts like machine guns for example that could easily break. I think it's probably worth grabbing one and seeing for yourself. They're great and come painted, what's not to like? Haha.

well, if model kit makers like tamiya, meng or dragon ever considered competing with tabletop wargaming companies on the model kit market, those wargaming companies will go bust. they sell some of the most atrociously overpriced models in the market. i still remember flames of war being absolutely terrible in both quality and price.

Excellent point indeed. I was being very critical but for the most part, the tanks are great. Just capturing those little details would've made them superb.
