If I were to become a dentist I would become one because I have a personal interest in oral care since I had braces for a few years, have had molars, cavities, and gingivitis, and so I am well aware of the importance of oral hygiene.

To answer your question, I’d like to be a dentist(specifically a Prosthodontist) not only because a nice smile can be transformative in a persons life but I’ve also always been drawn to art and science and I believe dentistry is a perfect mixture of the two :)

I want to be a dentist as I grew up in that environment my entire life with my parents being dentists

Hi John! Great video! If you get the time, please also check out our new PAT course for students struggling with this part of the exam. Our students have found this to be a super helpful supplemental resource, or resource for learning the PAT ahead of time, before they study for the whole DAT with one of these courses. To your question: I want to become a dentist because I have had the pleasure of working in Dentistry for almost 5 years now as a Dental Assistant and have acquired such a passion for the field. Originally I planned to become a Hygienist but needed to go through assisting school first. After getting into the field and working first hand with the Dr I knew my goal changed because of how much passion and dedication being a Dentist takes, and the reward of being able to help those in pain, to help those with confidence and to help those who need guidance. I want to be able to help those in need and to continue my education in dentistry. As a first generation college student this is a difficult and new experience but worth everything I've done to get here.
