I wanna try a stacked farm design.. so like a layer for potatoes, one for carrots, etc. would the farm still work if part of it was underground as long as I have light sources

It can only with villagers but if you want to do it in the same world make it 150 blocks away from your iron farm then it doesnt ruin both of the farms

Oh yeah I had that, he starts having a stroke near the Slab, try going far away from the farm and going near it again.
