no the rates are depends on the server limits area mob cap and other things for example how many mobs are spawned before you afked nearby thats why we suggest to use your farm on a high height spot or spawn proofed area with light sources or oceans

my farm doesn't produce the expected rates and i dont know why. i have done 12 layers and i only get like 700 gunpowder p/h. nad also the farm appears spiders, zombis and skeletons. the trapdoors must been in the centre of 4 buttons or in the middle of 2 buttons? i have done it with solid blocks instead of slabs and with a trapdoor in the centre of every 4 buttons . i hope you can help me, your job is really great

we are a team before this we were working on java farms if you have seen before its black you can search it but because of huge bedrock fans and a lot of requests we started working on mcpe too

yes this is the case with any creeper farm unless it's an odd design but typically cats will always make them go down faster

Built it today 8 layers, left running for 18hours, got just under 2 double chests. Don't think it's runs as advertised. Don't get spiders etc lucky for me. Double checked all levels for buttons n trapdoor. Guess it really dosnt matter. Gonna be obsolete after 1.21

didn't you watch my new generation farm?

If you want only creeper, I recommened to replace all boutton on the spawning platforme by slabs (not at the center) and place trapdoor all the place where aren"t slab on the floor. This farm is just a mob farm x) (18 stacks and 3 gunpowder/ 1 hours)

for 1.21 we are working on a whole new different farm that makes the mobs spawn on the air i suggest you to make that one when it gets out but in total yes you are right but the new pattern in 1.21 will be so much better imagine the mobs will spawn in the air but in game they will be processed on the blocks

I think you have to do it the Java way once the spawn rule changes: use glass to stop the spiders from spawning, and cover all top blocks with trapdoors. At that point I'd rather modify the Java creeper farm instead (i.e., use water from the middle of a diamond shaped spawning area to push the creepers down). All you need is to slightly modify the ordering of the water dispensers and observers to handle the lack of quasi connectivity.

Can the slab be replaced with blocks?

All of the mechanics used in this farm will still be in 1.21 so yes it will still work its not the most efficient farm but it's the best tutorial I can find I would recommend a ghast farm for gunpowder instead tho

the base term is that this farm is using a new method we called zigzag they will move about 3 blocks thats enough to fall off into the main chamber the center platform are the most important part to trap the creepers but the pushing system is by water

within the pattern they might be trapped faster but in base term no within 1.21 update that got possible even they will spawn but not on the blocks *they will drop at once its not a bug but its possible to get patch
