Blueprint Engines has a very great lineup of crate motors where their top five blows all of these away!

yeah but they always made expensive like kinda overly priced

These types of engine's are just not made for us average car guys. What I mean is , for a cast iron block that's only warranty is 50,000 miles , they start at 12,000 dollars. When you can go pull your own L.S engine and rebuild a 600 h.p motor yourself for around 5 grand. But it's nice to dream.

What are your thoughts on the newest GM small block 400 the L8T? That looks to handle 2000 horsepower easily.

the LSx series. The LS is the most popular, best crate engine ever. The LS is swapped into more cars of all bramds & models than every other engine combined.

add a price to the engines next time a rough estimate the 1st engine I did a google it goes from 10k and up but great vid keep up the good work

Crate engines are generally not a good deal. You can buy a good used 350 cubic inch engine for less than a thousand dollars. And for a few hundred extra, they’ll install it too. Anyway, I was wondering. If you took an engine with fuel injectors, and then replaced the spark plugs with diesel glow plugs that remain red-hot all the time, then you could point the fuel injectors directly at the glow plugs. So if the fuel injectors were shooting water instead of gas, the water should boil into steam when it hits the glow plugs. But the glow plugs might have to be oversized. The engine would run on steam expansion, instead of combustion. I think that this type of steam engine would be a two-stroke. And it wouldn’t need a radiator, because the escaping steam would transfer heat to the water tank. 200 degree incoming water for the engine would be about right.

Why not the 400 and 350 sbc has lasted for 50 years and today with all the EFI and ignition boxes you can get adequate fuel spark and power

This is a horrible line up of crate engines. There are way more better engines out there. Trash
