I notice that the Turtle Beach Atom is a bluetooth controller while the backbone is connected directly into the phone. Did you notice any meaningful latency or input lag with the Turtle Beach controller? I've used my friend's Backbone controller and it feels fine for the most part, but having no real ergonomics on the back is a bit of a pain for my hands and I think the Atom would be more comfortable for me in the long wrong. Although I'm not sure I want to trade comfort for quality if the bluetooth connection feels choppy and slow.

No actually! They feel the same. With the turtle beach being mfi there’s extremely low latency.

I got kinda screwed I have 2 iPhone style backbones and I upgraded to the new iPhone and now they’re useless. It would be nice to not have to pop the case on and off that was my biggest annoyance with the backbone. I ordered the turtle beach one, if I can keep my case on and play I’m happy

The turtle beach one is great for that especially since it’s Bluetooth and not port specific. Maybe backbone will release a dongle or something like they did when the larger camera bump on the 13 messes with the default backbone

i think i might be looking at the Atom myself on one hand i definitely am a little biased as someone who has used turtle beach stuff for a long time (my go to headsets are turtle beach and a Turtle beach React-R controller is serving me well for PC gaming) but on the other hand, all i really want is a decent mobile controller and i think i could go without all the features and what not Backbone has it’s also a hint cheaper and im not really planning on anything online or competitive for my phone anyway so it seems more cost effective for me

I just got my backbone and I am loving it so much it feels so much comfortable when you play games compare to my joy con and u don’t need tons of accessories just to play comfortable in your hand like Joy con I give the Backbone 10 out of 10 I wish Joy con is more like this year 2024 for switch 2

yes with a $15 clip from amazon or Walmart you sure can, but I don't like it cause of the battery drain.

@@nexad3395 I got one and I haven’t had any issues so far I did read somewhere to make sure you have the latest iOS installed and download the app for it.

The backbone is pretty fragil. I've had 3 and got my hands on the Razer Kishi V2 Pro, and wow, is it better 😏. Im looking into the the turle Beach controller, though. i want to be able to attach a cooling fan.

Have you tried the Nacon MG-X Pro? I have a short video on it and I love it tbh

They have to make a new version of the atom that fits on a tablet with no modifications. I have seen somebody had cut holes for a strap and removed the clip things to make it work. I'm using an Ipega 9083 and its fine but the sticks are weird and the dpad is pretty bad. I wouldn't use a backbone because it like my tablet sitting high on the controller. There is not enough options for a tablet unless i'm missing something. I have a razor kishi v1, it doesn't fit a tablet but the joysticks and dpad are top notch

@@SaiyaRanGaming I have my wired xbox controller with an adapter it works well but I want to hold it like a switch. Somebody 3d printed some joycon rails, somebody has to sell them. I'm going crazy trying to get this right, I even took a 360 controller apart to see if I could steal the sticks for the ipega 9083, which wont work. What a pain

I have the Backbone version and was looking into the Turtle Beach one. I saw some mixed reviews on Amazon saying it disconnected or it wasn’t compatible for CODm. Is it true? I have the iPhone 15 pro max.

Honestly no. Between both, the backbone is going to have the least amount of latency technically but I honestly couldn’t feel it.

Does atom work with ps remote play?

It gonna be good to play GFN games on your phone ig. My turtle beach will arrive tomorrow. let's see.

Just bought the atom and it’s constantly disconnecting. One minute it’s fine and the next it’s disconnected. So far Backbone is proving to be better…

While that’s an option that I mention in the video, these all in one devices are pretty convenient and I prefer them personally with my phone. With my tablet I use a controller cause of the bigger screen

It’s apart of the subscription if you want to use the controller with a Mac or PC and it’s wired not Bluetooth.

yes, it's just a looser fit because that phone was thinner, but it will fit anything you'd upgrade into just fine
