BEST COMPILATION of BAD (and CRASH) RC LANDINGS #2
If you fly RC a lot it's inevitable. Even the best pilots have a bad day once in a while. Could be your engine cuts mid-flight, or your retractable landing gear won't deploy or a gust of wind catches you out. These are skilled pilots. They just had a bad day at the office.
Filmed at various RC shows around the UK by Dom Mitchell using the Panasonic AG-UX180 Pro 4K camcorder.

3:50 was quite an amazing landing!
"Every landing you can walk away from...." except this one! 4:40 😁
I like the airliner landing. "My back, my back," "I can't move my legs," "oh my god I think I am a paraplegic now!" Then the pilot addresses the passengers "thank you for flying with us...."

Plane stops... Pilot. "nailed it"

That was actually a textbook example of a failed flare and wrong response to a bounce. It can happen in a real airliner unless the pilot knows what he's doing.
4:40 that flare looked so clean sad he couldn't manage to land it properly
It does worry me that people plough so much money into these beautifully made models........to then fly them withough a simple grasp of how to make an approach for landing without stalling or using a correct approach glide slope

When it comes to RC planes it has always been a semi controlled crash landing. A slight gust of wind can change everything in an instant. When I use to fly I would go out early in the morning when there is not much wind at all, and I still consider the greatest stunt of all is landing them without damaging them.

David Rook I don’t mean it derogatory towards them, I started flying a year ago and I’m now fly EDF jets but I know that there isn’t too much money in them so inverted down the runway a few feet high is all good......if I had any of these I’d stay miles high and practice as many approaches as possible first 😄

If your gonna get an rc plane, get one that crashes nicely cuz it’s coming down eventually

I like to sped my money on foam board planes. If I crash it cost 20$ to build it again, just put the electronics in the new one
2:03 that livery should have been ryanair🤣

The glider landing at 1:22 is hilarious. It was brought down so tidy so clean and then on the landing the wheel collapses and he still slides XD

Thx, as a layman, I couldn’t see what’s wrong with it
Is there a "no go around " rule for rc planes lol 😂

Lmao yea
2:18 You can always go arround

You actually cant. The approach was perfect. The problem was the strong release of back pressure on the stick (or he even tried to push it down). This resulted in a unrecoverable bounce. A jet turbine takes several seconds to spool up. At the moment of the first ground contact, the crash was inevitable.
I've crashed lots of airplanes in my time and I always hate to see someone crash and destroy their plane. Interesting video, how not to land your plane!

The MD 11 high speed bounce tendency shows up in full scale and model scale , physics don’t lie
What a sound! Dis guy right here always watch the plane video from here with my rock playlist crancked to 11. Metallica, Delta Parole, ACDC etc. AWESOME!
ouch! lots of winter projects in the making! hope they ate back in the air soon

That md-11 landing is similar to real crashes that type of airliner has had. Scary.
Nice md11 made better than real one.
That’s awesome‼️‼️ Keep posting 👍🏻🍷✔️
The Cry😂Cry😂 went bye bye 😁
1:24 wasn't a bad landing, it was poor building....
@ 4:00 thank god that missiles didn’t explode

I’m sorry but I’m gonna crash and burn
2:26 better than Ryan air
Play it at 0.5x for real air crashes
At 2:27 - that is exactly how the same type of aeroplane - the real thing - crashed at Narita, Japan.
A lot of wind......!
Not a bad vid well done ✔✔✔✔✔
Nice
top 3 things to never trust: 1 - politicians 2 - chronic liars 3 - RC plane landing gears
Flying is easy, it the landings that are gonna get you..
Second!!
ITS a good idea to have dampeners or amortiguation in the landing gear
You delivering them to Ann summers 😂
Don’t try to salvage a bad approach or landing. Go around and try again.
2:32 BACK AL, LEFT AL, LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT LEFT PULL UP WHOOP WHOOP PULL UP WHOOP WHOOP, EVERYBODY STAY IN BRACE,GOD (sound of impact)
Bounce bounce and bounce again and a big hardeharha
Just what I was going to say, what's wrong with a go around save all that heartache
Is this where they recruit the pilots for JetBlue?
For some pilots a simple foam plane is enough...
That Spitfire pilot doesn't even know to open his landing gear???
I like the airplane
Many seem to be landing at excessive speeds.
( 3:36 ) Those are LIVE ORDINANCE in that field! Proceed With Caution.. 😳 .. 😁
It amazes me that these people go out and buy and build very expensive aircraft before they know how to land.
You can always go around
@ 1:35 IT’S FIVE OCLOCK CHARLIE!!!!
I don’t know too many who bring their transmitter to a crash site!! 🤪 I turn mine off, set it down, and then go pick up the carcass!!!!

the fact that half of the people who have turbines in this video can’t land them is halrious
1:05 Anyone know the name of that plane ?

If the grass is taller than your landing gear, and your wheels are so small they bounce over grains of sand....you might want to hand launch! Don't be afraid of pavement, it's the same result if you crash! But grass causes cartwheeling, which just gives a bigger display at your yard sale LZ.
OOF
Whats the first plane's name?
Ours is a strange old hobby. We put lots of time and money into our flying machines. If we stick it into the ground. We come back and do it again 😃 ✈️ LoL
