Yes, my daughter applied for several, but most were those whose FAFSA showed lots of need. She got an interview for one, but didn’t get the scholarship.

I just registered for the free training on tomorrow. Thank you so much! My daughter is about to begin her freshman year in college and is coming from a single parent home. Her worry is that I won’t be able to pay for the school. I advised her to just stay focused on school and leave the rest to me. We’ve wasted so much time on scams with scholarships. I wish we would have found you sooner. We now know what to look for and with your help, will get the money she needs for school. Peace and Blessings as we seek the funding which will allow her to be debt free after she completes school.

Hello and thank you for your huge help! Your videos have been very calming and helpful. I have a question about one type of scholarship you introduced in this video the Community Foundation Scholarships. Is this a certain foundation? Do they have a website? Or do I need to find the local foundation that gives away scholarships? I am a bit confused about what does it mean.

Do you have any advice to help homeschool families locate scholarships? Also, I know you say go straight to the source. The example you used was Sony for a graphic design major. My daughter wants to major in accounting. In that case... who's the source? I have no idea. And the one I did find was for children of employees only. Your help is appreciated.

Try checking the guidance webpage at your local high school! Even though your child is not a student there, most high schools will post scholarship opportunities on their websites. Also check your state's Society of CPA's.

We have a common app for local scholarships in our community, but only seniors in high school are allowed to apply, I think this scholarship type is the 4th type. Is there a way to determine if there are any other community foundations outside of our local common app scholarships that can be re-applied to? I feel like we can probably get freshman year covered between local scholarships, the automatic merit scholarship (already awarded) and hopefully a department scholarship that has yet to be offered (we are following up on whether or not my daughter's audition through thescon can be used for scholarship or if it would be awarded after the official audition day).

You can search community foundations in your state to see if they offer scholarships to college students. Every scholarship has its own requirements so hopefully you can find a couple!
