This is a kind of knife you wont get even you open a lot of crates that cost $100k

If I opened a number 1 pattern on CS i think i'd have to hold for as long as possible, i mean imagine being the guy who sold the 1 million karambit for 30k...

And stat track items are 10x rarer than regular on top so you can add one more zero to how improbable this is. Literally one in a million class.

there is a big difference between asking price for one item and what someone is actually willing to pay for it.

14k for the #4.... It wont get sold around there. Id normally ballpark this around the 300-500k on the normal market but considering it's the #1 you could definitely ask for a hefty overprice of 1 million or more if you just hold. This is a once in a life knife. It's the same issue witth the karambit and that's already valued at 2mill or more because the owner just wont sell it for chickletts just because "the market" says so. The owner makes the price on these.

If more of the same skin is unlocked the price drops , of they are bought off by account and those accounts are listed private then the prices go up. No one actually plays with them

Partially. The steam market has a price cap of $2000, and all sales are credited to your steam wallet. Third party marketplaces allow you to both exceed this price cap and make real money off of your skins.
