Best Chop Saw for the Money

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I go through all of the chop saws from name brand and reputable companies and decide which one seems to be the best bang for your buck. I find I see them in this order...
Rigid, DeWalt, Makita, Hercules, and who cares about the rest. The Rigid is almost the perfect chop saw.

Currently living in an apartment, but in the following years when I rent/purchase a house, I'll obviously need to grab one of these. I used to do landscaping, I wish I could remember the brand of chopsaw we used for cutting brick pavers. Needless to say, wrong tool for the job and the one we had was TERRIBLE. Wiggly blades, no guards, the most rickety table ever....Oh well haha. Isn't there a woman on KZread who is totally sponsored by Ridgid? I can't remember her name but her workshop is alllll orange. Thanks for the video!

There might be. I hardly get out and watch other people videos these days. I do, just not as much as I'd like. Im killer busy these day with school and everything going on. Ya doesn't sound like the right tool for the job!

In the final analysis is your choice DeWalt or Ridgid?

The Rigid seems like the best value. Of course, the downfall with this list is I haven’t actually used the product.

I'm pretty sure I've watched this video like a year ago. I still need a new chop saw

If you are doing a lot of metal fabrication I suggest a dry cut saw, like the evolution.

@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects I've been eye balling those. However we might cut a couple pieces of metal a month so it's overkill for me

Makes sense. Chop saw would be good then. I’d recommend that Rigid still. I’ve never used it but it definitely seems like the best value machine.

@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects right now I'm planning on the Ridgid. However there's a sale happening at a local store on Friday so I might pick up the Dewalt if the price is right.

@@lobbyrobby honestly, it's worth it. Cleaner, safer, cold after the cut, no deburring and constant cut capacity

I'll stick with my Bosch 14" metal chop saw. Thanks anyway. Why you didn't consider this one in your tests is beyond me.

Because I don’t believe they sell them new anymore and I can’t find it anywhere. Also, there are probably 10+ other brands I could have included in this. Hard to please everyone.
