So, the person with ZERO coach experience is the BEST choice for the job currently? Who in the hell are the other candidates 😂😂😂. Hilarious

If JJ Redick is a leading candidate then this shows the dysfunction that is the Lakers.

Interactions with LeBron would make for some must see TV. 😂 On a serious note, remember when Mark Cuban called out Skip Bayless on his lack of basketball knowledge? Skip's analysis amounted to just "LeBron didn't want it enough" and Mark asked him point blank what plays did they call for LeBron in that series and Skip couldn't say anything.

ESPN ripped the Nets for hiring Steve Nash. They better hold that same standard on Reddick. I don't want to hear how this is a great hire from an unproven stubborn close minded commodity. That's right. Reddick is stubborn and you all know it. He gets super defensive when someone disagrees with him and outright dismisses anything that does not align with his views or beliefs

Just make Lebron a player coach. JJ’s career will be ruined like Steve Nash’s was if he takes the job.

Nobody was saying this until that Damm podcast now of a sudden he is the best guy available. I'm not against it. All these coach retreads getting fired and hired we need some new minds. Plus the gave Hamm his first job too so it's not white privilege either so why not
What candidates did the other hosts choose?
The best coach is Lebron. Let him be a player coach. It one ups him in the GOAT debate.
Let's not forget.... ppl gave the same criticism to the Miami coach when he came in with LeBron and company and he turned out alright. I think j.j. would come out of it about the same. He's a smart dude. He deserves a shot

Jj don't have Pat Riley supporting him
It’s about leadership. Successful coaches are great not only from their high basketball IQ, and in game adaptability; but their ability bring out the best in their team. JJ is knowledgeable and articulate, but it’s yet to be seen if he is a leader of men, bringing the best out of them. Only time and opportunity will tell.
WHO are the other candidates???
if you can't see that this league is heavily media driven idk what to say😂
Lakers should get JJ if they were into developing players and had young core that could afford to make mistakes.
💯
JJ has a cool podcast and is one of the best analysts. He’s a good fit wherever he is right now. He’s right on top in the media world. Coaching is too stressful
But on the flip side. I can see JJ Reddick Success. And moving up in the Los Angeles Lakers Basketball Operations 📝✅👍🏽
Crazy rondo should be a coach. He knows the players. Rondo knows ad and bron
Big Perk Lebron camp got to you.... Perk was just saying that he had no experience 😅
Journeyman Redick doesn’t have the credentials to coach the lakers how would any rookies respect him when just a few years ago guys was putting the ball through his legs and behind his back and all that
They should get Mark Jackson, T Lue (his contract is up), Micah Nori (Wolves AC), or Chris Quinn (Heat AC).
They got it wrong. Lakers hiring JJ Barea Lebron's original coach to a championship
Who? When!
Mark jackson
Mark Jackson
They need me 😂
Idk why the Lakers want a Coach with Zero Coaching Experience as the Best Coach...IF the Lakers wants to win a Championship they need a Veteran Coach. Nate Mcmillan Mark Jackson or even the Van Gundy's
I'd rather go to Rondo if your option is JJ
Perk just hate to sit next to JJ 😂😂 That's why
As a Lakers hater I want to them hire Reddick so we can watch the shÍtshow unfold. The drama is gonna be wild when they are under .500 lol.
This is hilarious 😂
Lol ESPN is this NEWS??
Finch, Thiebault, Kidd...And Reddick ?
JJ Reddick Chris Quinn Lloyd Pierce Michael Cooper Avery Johnson
At this point, what stopping Lakers to hire Bron himself? He is one of the smartest guy to play the game lol. 😤 Playing coach 😤
What about 5 time champion D fish
I like the Reddick hire, but I'm a life long Laker hater. I just want them to fail. LOL
I see what you did there perk. You not slick
David Adelman
Sam Cassell.

If the Lakers want to win again they will hire an experienced coach. No one new no one that the players favor an actual good coach
I think JJ Redick would be a solid coach, but this isn't the right spot for him. Can he hold his own against pressure from LeBron? JJ would indtead be good for a team undergoing a rebuild, with a young squad.....
Saaaaammmm Caaaassseeeellll
Lebron was trying to get Ty lue but lakers wouldn’t let him pick his own staff or pay top dollar. So he doesn’t make all the decisions 🤔
We’re about to be joke 🤦🏾♂️
Playoff teams in the West play defense both individual and team defense. Lakers at one time had a great defensive coach (Vogel) that had them in 1st place in the NBA and helped them win a championship, they then decided to let him go. The blame game has gone out of control with no accountability to the star players themselves (LBJ & AD) No matter who the coach is, the same foundations exist. Turnovers, Load Managing, Failed Boxouts, Failed Team Help Defense, are all individual tasks. Yes coach Ham was not the ideal coach for this team, but lets be real here the fact is that these superstars are not 100% committed to team winning, its self winning they focus on (Stats, Brand, Recognitions). The Legacies for both players (LBJ & AD) and franchise (Lakers) will always be questioned going forward with this frequent turnover of personnel and coaches.
Nooooo lifelong lakers fan and I don’t want the stars buddy to get a turn
These guys are drunk on ESPN Kool-aid…no way is JJ the best coaching candidate for the job…stop it!!
Lakers never winning another CHip at this rate
He deserves a chance but not the lakers
these guys can’t be serious
Mark Jackson time is now
Sam Cassel
Marc Jackson hello!!
JJ redick 100%, he understand basketball better than nearly everyone I hope he gets it
The Lakers want to win a Chip NOW so JJ is the worst candidate for the job 😂 Maybe on a developing team he would be decent as a head coach. The only reason these analyst won’t flat out say it is because he’s still an employee of ESPN 😂😂😂😂
As long as LeBron is on a team, he’s the coach. Just let LeCoach run it back. They don’t need JJ
THE ONLY THING LEBRON WANTS IS HIS VACATION IN PARIS BEFORE HE RETIRES😅
Stephen A smith should be the COACH!!!
Who are the candidates name them because this is BS how so many former players who have no experience get the best teams for the 1st job but it been people coaching for 10 years plus with no head coach job the lakers need a proven coach Suns old coach Monte 🤔 Mark Jackson Privelage smh and they was made to say this
JJ is a 🤡
Does JJ really want this job?🤷♂️
JJ couldn’t coach a YMCA team, they just know this is LeBrons pick
"maybe LeBron should retire and be the head coach" 😂
Blazers have Two number one draft picks! Sad thing about that is there's no talent
This franchise has turned into a joke under Miss Buss ownership, and Mr. James calling the shots.
Naw Coach K is coming out of retirement to coach for the Lakers. XDDD
I want him to get the job. He’ll be fired sooner than later, no way those players will respect him. Even if Lebron is on board. See Steve Nash, & he’s light years better than JJ. So he came in with more respect from his accomplishments. Works for J Kidd because he is an all time great at his position, so he earned the benefit of the doubt
Why is JJ even in this conversation? We’ll get ready for another losing season- at least Ham got them to the finals- AD should have been sat down all last season as he had no consistency no game no nothing - the GOAT carries this team and I am a Laker fan!! Stop hiring friends for this position and hire someone experienced and can blend this team to a family!
the playoffs are still going on and this is what theyre focused on. espn are a bunch of glazing losers
Just because he has a podcast with Lebron doesn’t mean he should be their head coach smh. Zero coaching experience. He’ll get fired mid season like Adrian Griffin with the bucks
Whoever the Lakers hire as Head Coach will end up getting fired in 2 years or so after Lebron James leaves the Lakers or retires from the NBA in (2026 or so). 😂
Honestly this is a joke man
Another weak coach. LeBron loves these as he can blame them when it blows up.
They should just hire a chair 🪑
JJ redick would be destroyed from inside if he does end up having the Laker HC job as his first gig. He doesn't have the demeanor to command a locker room and not to mention he has no experience to coach a win now team. Always thinks he's the smartest in the room won't take him far
