What would help is doing away with the yearly contact fitting exam when our eye size and contact type is the same! I don’t need to waste $50 for a doctor to place a contact in my eye which I have been doing myself for over 30 years!

I’ve only every used Acuve Daily Moist, and I love them! I’m curious as to what these experiences these other contacts may provide, maybe I’m missing out!

I wear biofinity Multifocal torics and even though I think they are just great, they are far from inexpensive. ......

What do I do if I'm trying to put them in and accidentally drop them in or near the sink? Do I wash them off? If so do I wait 6 hours and try again? Do I just pick them up and put solution in my hands and then rub them in for 20 seconds and try again?

Great question! Most people thoroughly clean and disinfect them for 20-30 seconds and put them back in. However, if you have any concern about what they dropped into (i.e. hair products, face cleaners, etc.) it’s a good idea to redo the over night disinfectant process.

@@RyanReviewsOptometrythank you alot, I so just let my contacts sit in solution beyond the 3 month limit for less than 48 hours. Can I just keep them and just change to a fresh solution? And resoaked them in that for 8 hours with a new lens case? Or are they done for because there yearly..

qracked the vast majority of contact lenses are designed to be discarded after 1 day, 2 weeks, or 1 month of wear. Therefore, in your situation, a fresh lens makes the most sense.

@@RyanReviewsOptometry and since there for 12 months do I throw them away since they were sitting in solution that's past the 3 months since open limit but not past expiration date can i just put them in new solution?

I just gotta say, I find Moist way too floppy/thin... They're so hard to dispense to new wearers. I know silicone hydrogels have higher modulus, but I find that even other hydrogels are easier to handle than Moist... 🤷‍♂️

I'm thinking about getting some cat eye contact lenses for my costume for Halloween. I don't have a prescription and not a lot of money. What should I do?

It’s worth checking with your eye doctor to see if they can fit and evaluate you for what you’re looking for. Unfortunately, most Halloween contacts are not FDA approved and sold illegally.
