Clickbait I guess we clicked the vid expecting some low quality diy work but I was really surprised on the videography and work put on the installation of the sunroof, hats off to u guys.

Actually I was not knowing that sunroof can be installed in normal car but after seeing this I can proudly say we Indian are never back we can do anything anywhere ❤️❤️

for a tropical country like india, sunroof doesnt make sense..worst thing is installing after market sunroof affecting structural integrity of car. I really liked the alloys and steering wheel..I think this is one of the best alloys i have ever seen.

There are reliability issues associated with the installation of a sunroof, no matter how professionals does the job, water seepage and leaking which further results in rusting. Can result in reduced structural integrity and can reduce factor of safety. Amazing work anyway, I hope you guys does inform the customer about the pros and cons of the same.

Sunroof in a car reduces structural rigidity. Manufacturers need to design the chassis accordingly. Putting a sunroof on a car which is not designed for sunroof is a big No No

Yeah correct, because the specific model with sunroof of a car charges 60k-100k rupees additional than the one without sunroof. And in that price they provide you with a different chassis. No, It won't affect any reinforcement/chassis as the reinforcement strength is the side pillars not the sunroof top skin. Sunroof comes with a solid counter frame which holds the reinforcement strength as remain same

Structural integrity means frames and subframe merging for best protection from impact. A roof with Sunroof need more subframe than a normal roof in order to get optimum strength. This work will definitely cause to lose structural rigidity.

@@shb9096 I do so agree with this..The roof made for a sunroof from factory has so many arrangements like channels to hold and drain water. Even if the sunroof leaks water will not flow into the cabin. Also the structure includes braces and the whole mechanism is integrated into the roof. This aftermarket one is in no way close to a roof designed for a sunroof. Reliability in the long run is a very big question. It's a cool concept though. That's all there is to it.

Where can I find those alloys? 😍 Edit : I found it. Those who are wondering about alloys, these are Radi8 alloys model name (R8CM9) available in three sizes 18” 19” and 20”. The one in polo is most likely 19”. And cost of them starts from 710 euro approximately 63000₹ for 18” set of 4 to 1080 euro approximately 95000₹ for 20 “ set of 4.

It doesn't come with a sunroof, atleast not here in India. I don't know about the GTI version which is a fully imported from Germany.
