Since this connects directly to the lens of the camera, the weight of the teleprompter, plus the weight of the phone or tab used for content will get added back to the camera shoe of the DSLR. The weight of the teleprompter itself is around 400g, plus the weight of the phone (approx 200g) or weight of the tab (approx 400g) makes it around 600g to 800g. And don't forget it's a hanging weight, so the gravitational force will add-up a little more at the point where the lens is attached to the camera (the lens shoe that is). Plus, the lens itself is also carrying some weight of its own. So, It's quite a bit of weight really and that's the only reason why I didn't purchase teleprompter that connects directly to the lens of the camera. I purchased a rather little bulky one, which gets mounted on the tripod directly. I understand mine is bulky, but once mounted, I've not removed it either. The only part of that I remove and keep in a safe place is the glass. Else the entire assembly remains mounted in my recording room, on a tripod.

Yes this is true... But there is a solution, in the bottom of this teleprompter you will see a 1/4 thread... I that thread you could mount supporting Arm to hold the teleprompter and counter the front weight...

How is the remote? Does it come with its own Teleprompter App or is it a Universal Remote that can work with any teleprompter app that supports Bluetooth remote? The Remote is missing in my setup and I don't find this remote available separately in the market. That's one regret I've for not buying this teleprompter.
