Two things...I would recommend sitting while loading a muzzle loading rifle so you never position yourself over the muzzle and if you sit on or shoot off the truck, it's an offense in my area....same as shooting out of an open window. That aside, thanks for the video.

You’re correct powder goes in first because if it didn’t, the bullet would go nowhere reason, the bullet move this cause pressure appears behind around if it appears in front of it and nothing happens

Not to knock anyone's choice of guns, but I had one of those and also a CVA Wolf. I sold the Buck Stalker and kept the Wolf, to me a lot more gun for the money. With that said I also own a Traditions Striker fire and love it. But it's a way more expensive rifle too.

Un-patched ball? Not the preferred or recommended method. Patch makes a tighter seal, prevents leading, helps clean the barrel & prevents the ball from rolling.

Did yours come in yet? Mine just came in but I've not had a chance to fire it I had to get the pellets from Cabela's and the primers from GunBroker so those haven't come in the mail yet

@@RabidNemo Did you get it replaced? My foregrip screw was fine with the foregrip off. But putting it back in with the foregrip in place... it's like it was trying to crossthread!! I may try chamfering the threads as well. Not too surprising at this price point though.

Any advice on shouldering this thing? I don't have too many rifle ranges near me and the only other rifle I have is an AK-47 that had belonged to my father that I never had the opportunity to fire I've shot off a .45 long colt before but it's been a number of years

Just put it tight against your shoulder and squeeze off the trigger. If you want to send some shots down range but you don’t have a good area, hit us up and we may be able to have you come shoot some lead with us.

He has a rifle right out of the box he didnt clean the grease packed in the barrel to protect it from storage then pushes the slug in forcefully and that is not the way I did my new one and my slugs went down easier with pound on it .

Shoving the barrel of the loaded rifle into his stomach, and firing the weapon spooking the horse. I don't think I'm going to trust his judgement on much of anything.

Most muzzleloader call for around 80-150 grains. And if buy the measuring device it makes life easy. But they also come out with the packed powder packets which I highly recommend super simple and a lot quicker than what you saw in the video just didn’t have any on hand.

@@jefftreadway6567 yes they do. I use the triple 7 in mine. 2 pellets for 100gr total seems to give me the best groups with any of the 250 gr bullets.
