I always imagine that BA is smiling as he calls the game. He just sounds so joyful. You don't get that from a lot of national commentators. They're excited, but there's not as much delight in their voices.

I agree. I actually saw a reel on Tik-Tok for the Yordan Alvarez walk-off where it showed him making the call and he was smiling through out the whole play. So you're right on the money.

Aside from Kevin Harlan and Mike Breen, Brian Anderson is one of my favorite NBA commentator.

I didn't become aware of this guy until he called Lillard's shot beating OKC. Looking at this I'm surprised how many iconic calls he did for March Madness too. This guy's great.

@@SeattleMarinersBoy Athough I don't think that Buck was boring, he made some good calls, but Davis was just better, plus if Anderson wants to call the Fall Classic, he needs to stop working for TBS and join FOX Sports

Brian Anderson and Joe Davis from the Dodgers are the best in the game. I've never been so excited to see a routine ground ball until they start losing their minds and hypes me up

One of the absolute best play by play guys in any sport he calls....

BA is so electric, underrated and elite

Darn, my favorite call of his ever was the walk-off home run by Carlos Correa in Game 5 of the 2020 ALCS that wasn't included here. And I'm certainly no Astros fan either. He said at the beginning of his at bat "If he hits one out, it will be the world's longest bat flip," which also came on Correa himself calling the shot. "In the air, Center Field, Correa's watching. This is back. And it is GOOOOOOONE!" And he indeed flipped his bat. And to give the 'Stros a fighting chance at coming back down 3 games to 0. Great call. Great announcer too. Underrated indeed.

Now we need one of Gus Johnson’s best soccer calls since many people have forgotten that he also called soccer games such as the Gold Cup and others.

He called lance lynn’s regional championship for espn2 in 99 as well

the call he had for dame’s logo shot, steph and lebron’s record breaker, ad and og’s bubble game winners, some of the greatest calls in basketball history. this mf is so underrated. also his baseball calls are great, too. i’m more of a causal baseball fan that doesn’t really zero in until after basketball ends, but still, him and joe davis are easily the best mainsyream guys in the game.
