It is really expensive but the packs are pretty good value wise.

Love the life tidbits. The personal info like that comes in such small increments that it keeps it interesting rather than just doing a Q&A milestone and then never discussing your personal lives until the next big milestone. It’s great!

Love the content, don't always agree with your takes but that's part of why I enjoy the show! Today's life tidbit was great! It follows your guys' flow of being unapologetic and truthful with yourselves and your audience. Nice work!

Would enjoy a part 2 sometime down the road after some new sets.

This is the video I've been needing. As a new commander player I've been trying to grow my collection naturally but cracking packs is so addictive

Commander legends is honestly my favorite set. I just got another box over Christmas and finally pulled a jeweled lotus. I was beyond hype!

Me too. I love MH and MH2 but Commander Legends was just a great set. Got another box this Xmas too. Got yet another Vamp Tutor and another Mana Drain.

As someone with 30 edh decks, I've been loving every single new set this year. When you have that many decks, even AFR will have dozens of cards with homes, and I appreciate the lack of smothering tithe - esk super-staples

I opened a Commander Legends box and pulled a Hullbreacher like 2 months before he got banned and he was the most valued card I pulled. 😞 feels bad.

You guys should totally consider running a podcast for random things to talk about, that ending was a delight to listen to

Some card organization starts and how you store your cards would be super cool to see. I'm struggling with all the bulk I have!

I opened my first commander legends(draft booster) box last night, I felt like it was pretty bad because I got like 6 cards that were around $2 dollars but I did get a vampiric tutor!

We have been playing sealed with the set boxes, Theros and Eldraine were very fun and we got a lot of good cards for our decks. D&D sadly was very awful as a draft experience and card value..... Now we eill take your advice and we will buy Zendikar Rising and CL 👍🏼✨

For my collection the boxes that I got the most value out of commander wise were the Mystery Booster boxes with the bonus foil slot.

That slip up on can you walk by my was great lol

Mine are commander legends, jumpstart and maybe like double masters if you’ve got the money, mh2 is okay as well. And yes war is amazing for commander

Cracked a zendikar rising box today thanks to this video and got polluted delta as my box topper, immediately paying off half the box lol

Well damn, my LGS gave out Zendikar Rising boxes for 57€ a week ago and I jumped on it. What a visionary !

Top suggestions from me is battlebond followed by either Conspiracy box... they have so many good staples for commander in them.

Ardent elementalist from midnight hunt is a good common in the right decks (it's one of two cards in mono red with the effect) it's one of the best cards in my rionya firedancer deck

Hey I just wanted to say thanks for the advice. I just got into commander and I didn't know what set booster to get . Going off your advice I got the zendikar rising and I walked away with seven new Commanders(2 duplicates) and a bunch of mythics and other cards to build and play with!

Can we see the Nitpicking Nerds collection some day? Would love to see how you organize, and share that collection.

Hey is there anywhere i can see the stats for all the sets ? I am buying common or uncommon sets so the set with the most playable cards is truly viable information

I would be interested to see the stats for Battlebond. Its on the expensive side like Modern Horizions 2 but I am curious to see how the crowd lands, partners, and various multiplayer focused cards sits.

I opened a set box of MH2 last night. I got it as a present. I got 5 fecthlands, a Ragavan, Imperial Recruiter, and 2 esper sentinel. I got other good stuff but that’s what I remember off top of my head

Would you consider making a video about best sets for pauper? As a new player it's easier to get into pauper than other formats!

I ended up asking for a Commander Legends box for Christmas. Not only did I get the investment back monetarily. I also got a bunch a cards I actually plan to use in my commander decks!

I did a mixture of both for my edh deck. Looked for cards that were essential for it to work and for the rest I got from boosters

Does anyone know how many mythics are in the average Modern Horizons 2 set booster box? I'm wondering because I got 9 lol but yeah a lot of them weren't the best mythics for commander,

I got a Commander Legends collector booster box as a gift and opened an extended art foil Jeweled Lotus. I instantly double sleeved and slid into a top loader :)

So far I've buyed Only a Jumpstart and a Ikoria Box, and a Lot of Kaldheim and Strixhaven Pack. Jumpstart is good when you start playing because there is a wide variety of card and some Cool legendary Neith and Muxus are my favorite one, Strixhaven Mystical Archive are really cool and the Uncommon Legendary are some of my favorite commander, Especially Dina. Ikoria have a The Triome, Big Spell with the Ultimatum and Rielle. Kaldheim, has snow land and Dual, and the Infamous Tergrid, but from All the thing i've opened it's one of the set I've used the least in my commander deck.

I made myself the same conclusion about how good zendikar rising is a great box opening for commander and for novice or someone who seeks for lot of cards that could fit in many decks. Mdfc's, pathway, and more "little cards" I bought 2 holiday gift boxes and 2 draft boxes, one of each for Christmas'gift to my best friend who start commander 3-4 months ago.

I would say Zendikar rising is the best collector box you can buy as well. Getting those expedition lands is a no brainer.

Not sure of the stat breakdown but jumpstart seams to have a lot of powerful staples. Totally agree with zen rising though.

I cracked a sensei’s divining top list card in my SNC set booster

MDFCs and also box topper expedition lands in the zendikar rising boxes. I’m lucky zendikar rising was my only booster box I’ve ever been given.

I'd say buy singles. However if someone wanted to upgrade their decks with evergreen cards I would suggest the following current sets. Strixhaven, War of the Spark, Coreset 2020, and finally a little bias but they should buy some double masters.

I'd think over the past couple of years the triomes are the in demand cycle, so ikoria and snc. Outside of cmd legends cause jeweled lotus is massive, there probably more hits in that sent but the cost is higher.

Lol that was a great tidbits! Never knew cherries was gay. Anyway, jumpstart makes gor great cubes after playing the box as intended. Has some great edh staples in there as well.

How does one draft for a commander format? My friends and I have been planning to draft and none of us has really ever done that before.

I wonder what your stats were for JumpStart. I'm guessing not high because of the enormous list of cards.

Knew it was going to be Zendikar Rising because MDFCs, haha. Seriously...they are amazing tho. If I'm being honest, ZR probably did interject the most "staples that I put in every deck now" of any set the last couple years. As a black mage...Agadeems Awakening, Malakir Mire//Rebirth & Feed the Swarm have gone in literally everything since. Also the rare land/flip land cycle is fantastic

M DFCs have change how we deck build that is how good they are

If you're talking War of the Spark, you should mention that it featured cards that say "proliferate", which are as good as gold in Commander. Notably, Flux Channeler and Evolution Sage have repeatable Proliferate triggers, which is just so so so nice.

We used our own grading system

One of the sparks is between 550 and $600 in Australia

if you’ve got $500 Eternal Masters is insanely valuable and my guess is very very commander friendly considering every mythic besides balance is playable

Ahhh... Finally got over my sealed product addiction. I wonder what the NNs are up to today..... ... ... I want my $2 back! Seriously, have you seen how much MH2 packs are going for? I need it. Just one more pack, baby.
