Shruti, I know I've commented the same thing on other videos - but another series that any Potterhead HAS to try out is the NEVERMOOR series by Jessica Townsend. It gives you Hogwarts vibes and the writing style is very similar to JK Rowling's... that being said, the story and premise is brilliant and it is supposed to be a 9 part series. Currently, 3 books are out - Nevermoor: The trials of Morrigan Crow, Wundersmith: The calling of Morrigan Crow and Hollowpox:The hunt for Morrigan Crow. I would be super interested in what your thoughts are about Jessica Townsend's world building and characters of the Nevermoor world.

Hello Lawrence... thank you for suggesting Nevermoor Series. I was going through this video in the search of novels like harry potter and i tumbled into your comment. Because of your comment i purchased all three books on this Thanksgiving and completed my 3rd part hollowpox book today. This series is really amazing and it really gives harry potter vibes. I love Morrigan character. She is witty and brave. Can't wait for more parts. Once again thank you so much for your suggestion. Do you know any more novels such like this?

@@sophie9984 definitely YA/children - we meet the protagonist when she’s 11 & she matriculates through school/life similar to Harry! If you’re in the mood for a similar feeling/tone to HP with similar ages but a different magical world, than this is a great option. :)

Di, for me there is nothing more enchanting that Harry Potter world... it's just something else... Not just the magic and detailings but also the emotions, nothing can overshadow it.... But yeah I also want to explore more such worlds... So definitely gonna give these a try.

If you like harry potter books then you should definitely read SCARLETT LOST IN THE FIVE LANDS by Rajendra Sarilla. It has powerful female characters, intimidating villains, dragons, and a magic school too. A complete fantasy package. It also deals with bullying since the titular character Scarlett is constantly bullied for being different. It is the first fantasy book that i came across which has a powerful female lead without needing to have a super powerful boyfriend to save her.

Love your attitude!!!! I have heard these recommendations before, but you are the first person who actually made me want to read all of these!!!! Im starting right now!!!!

My tbr was already so swelled up but I reckon I'll have to make some room for these one's too. Thanks for the great recommendations!

Harry Potter is the best... I have recently started reading the books.. And I can recommend all to watch the movies first and then read the books, you will feel like the books are extended part of HP movies, I swear. The movies didn't include ginny much but the books OMG I hate the directors for it but after watching all movies and now reading books its so good I feel ginnys dialoges are extended. And now I can imagine how harry looks or ron how they would laugh or do any thing. Its superb

Its so hard to choose but my favourite character is INEJ but I also loved JESPER 💞 I think that six of crows is the best fantasy book I have picked after harry Potter also I loved it cause most of my reads for past 2 months were basically contemporary and as the book says it's dark and scary and I totally agree...Getting on to the conclusion I freaking luv this book..💞

If you are looking for an adventure, fantasy, filled books series like Harry Potter, I recommend checking out ‘Keeper Of The Lost Cities’. It’s the series that got me into reading. I’ve since read the Harry Potter series, and I think anyone looking for their next series to be obsessed with should check it out!!

For anymore wondering, it’s about a 12 year old girl named Sophie Foster who can read minds. Throughout the book, she finds out she isn’t whom she thinks she is, get to go to a fairytale school, meets characters with tons of personality, and continues on a journey to find out how she was separated from her life. You watch this strong female lead go on adventures, solve mysteries, connect with friends, fall in love, and uncover secrets no one was ever suppose to know. The series currently has 10 books, each book ranging anywhere from 400-900 pages each, and if you want to try reading the books, I really hope you enjoy them!! The whole series, and the characters mean so much to me, and I hope you guys learn to love them too:)

Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend is also recommended. I haven't read it yet though. 😅 If you want another school setup, then try reading Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy Six Of Crows. I have a reading vlog of it.

Great reviews . But the thing is HP is both kids and adults. Most of the series you mentioned are A. Ppl like clean books too. Maybe you could add age rating and also classify YA and clean stuff in a different video ..

Instead you should try The song of Achilles and Voyagers of hell. Both the books are way better than the rest.

I also haven't fully learned to do that actually. And even though I am really upset with JK Rowling's views and. the things she has said, I have come to terms with the fact that she is the author of a series I love. I can't change that fact. So as long as I accept it and tell myself that even though the author's views are bad, the book itself is good and it's taught me so many lessons and has been there for me during hard times, that's all that matters ❤️❤️

Among these I would say Truly Devious is possibly the only one that can be read by beginners. The others are a bit more intense.. If you want books which are good for beginners, I would recommend - 1. Percy Jackson Series 2. Chronicles of Narnia 3. His Dark Materials Series 4. Series of Unfortunate Events
