    I’m trying to learn from all your videos and taking notes, I saw the videos of tuning a coil machine, the display shows the hz,speed,voltage, how do you tune or use this abs make sure it’s working right? Can you see that still with the wired set up?

    I’ve been thinking about getting this machine , while comparing it to others, 10 % off is nice , but Amazon has it for 30% off almost 70 dollars off !!! I immediately purchased it, I noticed the seller was big wasp . I checked and the deal was still good yesterday, but no longer is today.unfortunately. Keep an eye out for those deals I paid 171.00, maybe big wasp can send you a code if you tell them you missed the deal or possibly give you a head’s up on the their next sale. I found it the deal by luck and just want to help my fellow artists save a couple of bucks, best of luck on your creative journey.

  • @JonoSmithTattoo

    @JonoSmithTattoo

    2 жыл бұрын

    An 11CM is a good all rounder sized needle to use for portraits but it really depends on the size of the tattoo you’re doing and also the particular area of it you’re tattooing as well. You can mix black ink with distilled water to make greywash. Thanks for watching!

    Hi, cheers mate. Coming from coils and springs, how do you control how hard the machine hits?

  • @JonoSmithTattoo

    @JonoSmithTattoo

    2 жыл бұрын

    Great question! With the vast majority of pen style machines, the ‘hit’ is already pre-set so you can’t change it. Obviously you’ll be used to adjusting this with the power coming from coils but the power will only speed up and slow down this machine. This is why a lot of coil artists struggle transitioning in the beginning. This machine does have a bit of give already but definitely packs a punch for lining. I’d liken it to a Cheyenne Hawk in terms of hit. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

    Is there a way you could do a video on tattoos healing.. I’ve done a few on my leg and I’m having an issue with them healing and colored ink causes my skin to break out and gets infected?(sorry for the random information.. I’m super new to this! You’ve helped soooo much it’s not funny Ty!!)

  • @JonoSmithTattoo

    My next video is on colour so this should be a big help for you. The advise I’d give you for now would be to make sure you only use branded inks from reputable tattoo suppliers. Most of the inks on eBay and Amazon are clones and are quite dangerous to put in human skin as they’re untested.

    @@JonoSmithTattooI have doubts couse 3.5 is recommended mostly but i got a good deal on 3.0 or 4.0, if 3.0 is good enough for color and lining ill go for it, shading hould be awesome on 3.0. So you dont recommend to wait if i find 3.5? Its gonna be my first machine so i dnont really know what i prefer.

  • @JonoSmithTattoo

    @JonoSmithTattoo

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@ripper9112 to be honest if you want an all rounder I’d definitely recommend waiting for a 3.5mm. That’s the sort of industry standard. A 4.0 will be great for lining but you might need to adjust quite a bit to shade. I thought the 3.0 or 4.0 were your only options which is why I recommended the 3.0, but if you can find a 3.5 it’ll be much better. Have you tried the Hummingbird Bronc machines? These are mostly 3.5mm strokes and are really good priced. I don’t know your budget but if you do get one of those from the BigWasp website use code JONOSMITH to get an extra 10% off. There’s some reviews of these on my channel. There’s also a new one coming this Sunday on the channel too.
