Harbor Docks is awesome, old school seafood restaurant. Been going there since the 1980's. Taken several charter fishing trips right out back.

Yeah, if I lived in Destin full time I’d probably go there the most. Great food and they have some reasonably priced options. I love the bar at Boshamps too, but I’m not gonna pay $46 for the awesome Snapper dishes all the time and fight crowds.

Great homage to Harbor Docks. We started going there in 1979 when they opened and my brother Tom worked there for quite a few years. We used to pull the Luhrs 60 at the end of the dock and walk in from the water. Best place in Destin imho although with my now living in Aberdeen, WA, I haven't been back down in 16 years. But I never have nor ever will forget it! Thanks for the most recent review on YT.

HD is still a great place! But I imagine Destin is quite different than it was in 1979.

@@FindMyFoodStu I was there last in 2010 well after they had built the Emerald and Harborwalk so it's probably close to the way it was. Although I know the area down by the Back Porch has exploded with high rises! We used to go there back when nothing was around it!

Dewey's on the bay has a limited menu compared to the one on the Harbor. Both are great.

It does. I like the smaller menu and the fact that it closes early makes me prefer the bay for lunch (but the harbor for dinner).

Stu, Can you help me???? Destin Florida. I am trying to find the best crab Legs in Destin. Can you help me??? I always end up at Pompino Joes because the rest of the restaurants that are recommended, DO NOT have crab legs on the menu!@!!@. Please help me find crab legs in Destin

So… yes Pompano Joe’s as well as Crab Trap and Brutola’s have crab legs… but they are generally all Snow Crab (although maybe not now with the Alaskan season cancelled) or King crab from the northern Pacific waters. Not local. They might have Blue Crab on the menu sometimes, but I generally stuck with the local fish (grouper, amberjack, grouper, etc). So I’m not much help here.

Thank Christ you have public recommendations, most of the grill/ bars are in a resort that you can’t access unless you stay there

Oh for sure… but when you’re on vacation would you rather go out and grab a coffee and breakfast then head down to the beach or wherever or spend your time going to the grocery store and then cooking every meal?
