Doodle the Travel Bug left the kiddos at home and we are drinking in the best bars in Cincinnati, Ohio and in the OTR (Over the Rhine). Cincinnati is home to the coolest most unique themed bars anywhere. This is one of our favorite places to have an adult weekend of cocktails and beers. We put together a Top 10 List of Cool and Unique Themed Bars in the city. These are where you go to drink when you're here. These are the Best Bars in Cincinnati, Ohio.

#10 Galatic Cantina - 1834 Race St, Cincinnati, OH 45202
First on our list of best bars and watering holes in Cincinnati, located in the heart of the OTR. Located behind the coolest comic book shop in Cincinnati, Cosmic Gorilla is a secret bar located out back... Galactic Cantina. Owned by Gorilla Cinema, Galactic Cantina is a Star Wars themed pop up bar. This is the perfect place for bounty hunters and super fans of Star Wars to refuel. Staff is dressed in Star Wars garb and the drinks are all themed from the movies. We made sure to get a glass of Blue Milk.
#9 - Wiseguy Lounge - 1211 Main St, Cincinnati, OH 45202
Located in the OTR above Goodfellas Pizzeria a Pizza joint serving Cincinnatians New York Style Pizza. Upstairs from Goodfellas is Wiseguy Lounge, a bourbon speakeasy with elite bourbons on shelf. It is a beautiful bar made of reclaimed dark wood.

Located in the Walnut Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati is Gorilla Cinema owned concept bar Tiki Tiki Bang Bang, a classic Tikki bar serving classic tropical cocktails like Mai Tai's, Painkillers, and Zombies.
#7 - Homemakers Bar - 39 E 13th St, Cincinnati, OH 45202
HomeMakers Bar is the slightly retro, mostly modern cocktail bar that feels like a house party. HomeMakers bar serves up classic and modern craft cocktails . Its decorated in bold colors and is an instgramers dream. Homemakers is also known for it's zero proof cocktails.
#6 - Tokyo Kitty - 575 Race St, Cincinnati, OH 45202
Cool Japanese-style karaoke bar with cocktails, dancing & private rooms with lounge seating. Gorilla Cinema was inspired to make this bar after seeing Lost in Translation. Each private karaoke is decorated in a different theme, the rooms fit about 10 of your rock star friends and all come with a robot bartender. Drinks come from the ceiling on a lift.

on the corner of Main and 12th in Over-the-Rhine, we meet.
As rich and diverse as there vodka selection, so are our traveling patrons. With a variety of flavor profiles as complex and intricate as Nesting Dolls, our selection of spirits will renew your sense of wonder.
Tables full of small plates called zakuski, meaning little bites, serve as a portal to flavors from the motherland. Caviar, pickled vegetables, fresh rye breads, buttery pierogi, and smoked meats.

located in the heart of Mt. Adams, The Blind Lemon has been a Cincinnati institution and hidden gem for nearly 60 years. Beneath a glowing sign alerting passerby that ‘the garden is open’ lies a narrow passageway leading down to a sprawling brick courtyard, featuring lush foliage in spring and summer, and an oversized fire pit to cozy up around in fall and winter. Inside the bar itself, you will find a rare setting of old world comfort, lit by firelight and a kaleidoscope of soft, warm Tiffany lamplight. The charming underground tavern houses an eclectic collection of old time memorabilia, with the shine of copper, classic car and plane models, and ornately framed paintings and signed photographs delightfully crowding the walls and ceiling.

Somerset was built using 8 shipping containers and dozens of suitcases of materials and opened in Summer of 2021. The team is made of friends and uses their own creativity to make it feel organic and natural. They hope Somerset would be a place where Nick would have wanted to sit and sip a G&T as the sun goes down. Somerset is an exotic oasis and one of the prettiest bars anywhere. They specialize in infusions.

Based on Stephen King's novel The Shining, this hip bar offers a small food menu & unique cocktails. The Shining themed bar has all kinds of movie references. It's impossible not to have fun here. Remember, all work and no play...

This is an Over the Rhine underground night club and speakeasy. 4 stories under street level in old tunnels used in Cincinnati Breweries before refrigeration was invented. Ghost baby plays sexy jazz with mood lighting and crushed velvet and silk.
