    Hello there, I love the content! Recently found your KZread and watched every single video. I have a video suggestion. My set-up is RX7-Ultra, 29.5” Draw, 70#, .300 Spine - Easton Axis 5mm Match Grade Pro; 522 grains. Speeds range from 267-270 My Arrow Setup: wrap, solo Hunter 2.5 vanes(3), Easton Brass 50grain hit insert(took the 25piece off), Iron Will Impact Collars. I use 100 grain broadhead. I prefer 100 over 125. My video suggestion(s): Choose one bow - Grab several different arrows, preferably set-up the same - same spine, to show arrow speed. -Side not speed is not everything but most people like to have speed. It doesn’t matter how you have the arrow set-up just make sure shooting the same spine, in different arrows. P.S. You should set-up your community on KZread so people can message you on there as well instead of the just videos! Keep the great content coming man!

    Russell, depends on release neck length, it's hook location in regards to where your index and middle finger land at anchor point location, imo. In the end I didn't change my DL. LOTS of reps blank baling before hitting the 3D range. It's changed the way I shoot!

    Harrison, there is KZread channel “ bow only outdoors “ that has some learning videos on different releases and their set up that WILL ENHANCE AND IMPROVE your shooting. As an old old archer, since 1963, I guarantee you that if you follow this young guy’s advice and commit to only shooting each shot like he shows you will be 100% better off. Within a few hundred shots that you carefully execute it will happen. Don’t go out and start at twenty yards start at 6 feet at a level with your raised drawn bow and then shoot. Close your eyes to learn to feel it. Some take off or cover the sight so as to not try and aim. Aiming is not part of letting the brain learn what you need to do. Proper controlled shot is the most important part of hitting the mark. Aiming part comes later. Good Luck

    You still need to know how to use a hinge properly and that’s more than just pulling back correctly. There is finger pressure involved and getting the release to actually rotate properly. You can pull all day and if your finger pressure isn’t correct allowing the release to rotate it’s not firing no matter how hard you pull. Then you see people doing things to make the release fire. You can easily make a hinge fire without actually doing it right.

  • @hybrid704

    @hybrid704

    2 жыл бұрын

    this is a hinge, it fires when you rotate it, that's normally what the thumb peg does on other hinges with no safety - prevent it from rotating when you draw. the backstrap is a pure resistance release, it works off setting it roughly to the holding weight of your bow, then you set the spring inside it a few lbs higher than that and draw with the safety on, anchor, release the safety and pull until you get it to go off. difference is mainly mechanism

    Id look into this release and something like a Silverback from Dudley and Carter archery. Main difference is this is a hinge, silverback is back tension with a safety…i hunt with a Nock2It and have Silverback and 2Smooth (hinge) as well. Main reason i like them is because they are all 2 finger style, and have very good weight and all basically exact same jaw position and neck length so they anchor and hit almost identical.

    Drew...any release can be shot with back tension. Back tension is a method, not a type of release. I've switched from Index to hinge..which I didn't perfect before switching to a resistance. It's upped my game and I'm not looking back. Once set up it's a slight (for me about 6lbs) push/pull..pin locks on and IF your timing and release is dialed in you'll be shooting better than you ever have, imo.

    I feel like a hinge release can still be punched, that pull on your ring finger is manipulating a “trigger”. I started using my thumb button as a hinge and Mr. Shot IQ pointed out the movement in my ring finger that initiated the break. Interested to hear why you like this over the other tension releases like the Silverback.

    Welcome to archery man! You are going through exactly what I whent through! Same bow! Bear legit, started shooting like a mad dog.. 4x a week 200 to 300 arrows... the bow wasent handling it! Strings started to Frey big time.. so I was saying to myself , I am going to shoot out guys with flagship bows and releases with this bow and prove them wrong! Started changing part on the bow... spended 600$ on string , arrow rest, etc.. that was a mistake. Stuck with that bow and cheap release.. if you whant to hut and shoot one arrow at your animal target. Hey it does the job! Same assassin release, was punching it alot. Bought a really cool Scott verge with a click trigger release.. can't get a proper repetitive anchor with it.. everything is expensive in archery. Arrows ! You don't have the proper one you shoot not so good.. the thing is when you get the proper accessories and bow right. I will last you and serve you right for a long time.. yeah release price are out of mind expensive. I get you! Like buying a 200$ silk tie to go with a 99$ suit that you bought..🤦🤷‍♂️🎯👊🤟✌️
