Merhaba everyone. Ayaan here, from Karachi, Pakistan. Two years back, my family and I made the move to Turkey, seeking a more Islamic way of life. Initially, it was incredibly enchanting - Adhans resonating, daily prayers - a perfect fit. But, as time passed, things shifted. We didn't always experience kindness. Doubtful looks came our way, despite our simple wish to blend in. My young sons, innocent and capturing subway moments, faced shouting and even hurtful names like "pedophiles." Truly heartbreaking. I believed Turkey, being a Muslim country, would embrace us, yet we encountered racism. Despite conversations, it felt like our differences in appearance and speech set us apart. With hope for an Islamic bond, I came, but after enduring two painful years, my family and I chose Egypt. A different place, fresh challenges, but Alhamdulillah, there's a sense of understanding among people here. May Allah guide us all. If you're contemplating a move, reflect deeply and pray for guidance.

Good evening sir, lam ltalian and l visited Turkyie twice. I am Christian and they treated me like a sis. I think many of them would like their country to be called "a secular" one, with no religions mentioned. This is what young generations told me, while visiting Izmir and Istanbul. My own experience. Why did you not stay in Pakistan? Turkey is a secular country and you moved there for a more Islamic way of life? It doesn't make sense. If you want a more Islamic way of life why not make Pakistan more Islamic. Why not struggle in the way Allah in Pakistan and change Pakistan. Thats the problems with you south Asia Muslims, you want to free load on other people's efforts. Use other people's countries and resources while you don't contribute anything. Why not put in the effort and make your own country Islamic? why did you run away from the fight. Why not struggle in Pakistan. Egypt and Turkey should not be responsible for taking care of you. Plus I don't believe you moved to Turkey or Egypt for a more Islamic way of life. None of those countries are more Islamic than Pakistan. You moved there because you don't like your own kind in Pakistan.

Brother one advice.Dont move to countries which is closer to Europe even if they are muslim majority.Chances are you would face situations like these.Turkiye have become more intolerant about Arabs,South asians and Muslims in general and more tolerant to Europeans.Even though they claim to be secular they had a ban on headscarves from 2000.I am from bosnia and my friend is from chechnya and she looks middle eastern.Astagfrullah the way I was treated was more nicer than my friend because I looked more Slavic and my friend looked more middle eastern.

All restaurants in Turkey are halal unless they specifically selling pork. There are a few exceptions that sell pork but this is rare.

Other meats are not necessary halal, there is a specific Processs for the meat to be halal Fish is the only option that almost always halal

Beylikdüzü is an excellent family oriented place but only for those looking to stay there without needing to go to the main city centres (plural) of Istanbul. If your job/business is there or you work remotely then this might be a good low cost place to live

Waalams brother, always good to hear from a fellow Canadian mA. The rents in this part of Başakşehir (Kayabasi) are higher starting at 4000tl, but going more towards Bahçeşehir which is nearby but newer area, up and coming rents are lower starting 2500tl. Hope that helps!

After seeing this video, I am getting more apprehensive regarding Turkey's lack of goodwill towards non-muslim expats while patronizing only muslim expats with exclusive privileges If the above holds true, then Turkey has been changing its Ata Turk Kemal era secular fabric & propensity to modernize fabric, over the last couple of decades, especially more drastically so since the onset of current regime.

@@aravindr8238 in some parts (especially istanbul) of turkey this might be true but not because of they are muslim. in the last decade, turkish tourism went down because of the politics, so people who visited turkey for culture and the lovely beaches stopped coming. so it became a tourist attraction for rich muslim countries because we are muslim too but we have many freedoms that they don't have back at home. so local businesses in some places startes favouring rich saudi arabian people over other people simply because they have more money. so most local people actually got sick of these kind of tourism and migration because turkish muslims have a different lifestyle.

Walaikumssalam brother, ameen jzk! In Basaksehir premium areas (Kayabasi/Kayasehir) prices starting at $150k for 2+1 and $250k for 3+1. These are just approximate prices, you may well find below or above these, and this is specifically in the key prime areas close to everything.

Please do not come.. Here is too crowded, the country wouldn't take this human weight.

I don't think Turkey is the best place to do hijra if this is what you are planning. Turks aren't as tolerant to foreigners as they used to be unfortunately.

@@ThinkTurkey I think Turkey is a beautiful country and I have met some amazing people there. I also understand that their issues with foreigners have arisen from their economic crisis which I really don't blame them for, but they have now gotten to a point where they want Turkey just for turkish people which I understand to an extent because a lot of countries say this. With this new mindset the country becomes no different from the western countries we are trying to make hijra from. I really do pray that Turkey's economy gets better for the Turkish people as they don't deserve this.

Correct. But if you read the title of the video, it's meant to help Muslim expats. And for us Muslims, race, tribe and language is of secondary importance while Islam is our primary identity. If you ever seen muslims praying in the mosque five times a day, we stand shoulder to shoulder with African, Arab, Turk, Kurd, Indian, Indonesian, Malaysian all in unison worshiping One God and are governed by One law in the Quran. There is no class or racial lines as we are forbidden in the Quran to divide religion along the lines of race, language and sects. And that is why you will see Muslim societies throughout ages were most accepting of different races and intermingling of language, food, architecture and culture be it 7th century Arabia, 15th Center Ottoman Empire or the Mughal Empire in India. Turkey is not a Muslim country, it is a secular and democratic country. If you want an Islamic state, go to Saudi Arabia or Iran.
