Is the transformer inside the lamp or outside connected to the cable?

I don't think it is connected to the cable. I think it is in the base clamp as that is where you plug in the power cord.

@@Bar_tayar That I don't know. I am looking at it right now since it is on my desk and it does not say. I no longer that the box or instructions.
My lamp power button is stuck on on. Any tips on how to fix this or a lesson on light on off troubleshooting?

I don't as I think it is just a digital button and not a mechanical button. I am assuming it turns right back on if you unplug it and plug it back in.
