Yes yes yes! You finally tried Evy. I always buy it on sale and the last time I bought myself a stash at about 10 or 11£ (135 SEK, not sure about the rate) per can. The things I love most are the high protection and that it doesn't give a thick film on the skin. Just nice and glowy.

Thank you! I love the one from grüum! The availability is better here in Germany. It doesnt burn in the eyes, it sinks in really quickly and I heard, that the UVA protection should be similiar to the one from Altruist. I tried the one from P20, but it was to thick, burned in my eyes and I feel like the smell lasts the hole day.

I am SO glad that I learned to stop using sunscreens made to sell in the US markets. that is when I discovered much more elegant formulas that have higher UVA ratings. The number one being the BOJ sunscreen. Thank you SO MUCH, Rob, for introducing it to me!!!

@@skinloverbyvane I do the same. Asian sunscreens if I'm inside mostly or just running errands on a winter day. EU sunscreens for when I'm working outside!

I found a great one to buy in the uk from Grüum - Skoda daily defence spf 50 5 star UVA protection £7 on feelunique. I think this will be my next sun cream purchase!

HI Rob, I am so glad you are talking about UVA, and yes it's so frustrating that UVA is not mentioned much. Thanks for the great sunscreen recommendations. I have used P20 for Kids for a year already and love it. In the winter when the sun is not so high and UVA and UVB are lower, I love using Isntreee's Hyaluronic Acid Water Sun Gel SPF 50+ PA++++. Great for winter and those of us with dry skin.

Did p20 spf 50 leave a white cast? If so is it horrible? Like a white paint on your face?

@@lolososo6760 no it does not leave a white cast. you do need to rub it in but it melts right on the skin. There may be a very, very slight white cast for about 5 minutes and then it disappears. it is such a wonderful sunscreen. i am caucasian so i am not sure if there is a white cast for skin of color, but i don't think so.

The p20 UVA-pf is above 50, I remember when it originally came out it said 60 something. The boots star rating is a bit misleading and it's hard to work out a ppd from it. If a spf 30 has a 5 star rating I don't think it would have a ppd any higher than 15. Most spf 15 have a 5 star boots rating because it's relative to the spf which is quite low.

Yay! Evy😻 I have dry acne prone skin and both the Evy face mousse and kids spf 50 are wonderful on top of moisturisers! I think the mousse consistency is tonnes of fun🤩 (and so do the kids)

I've recently discovered a great anti-aging SPF: Louis Widmer 50+ (UVA+UVB) with Matrixyl 3000. It's suitable for the under-eye area and comes with an unscented version, which is appreciated. No complaints so far :)

Superdrugs suntan creams solait have all been 5* uva for past 20 years and are fantastic never burn when I use them 😀

Haha its spelling is with an 'e' everywhere outside of the US - for some reason in US English they decided to drop the e from the spelling but the original was always with the 'e' remaining... I get this one all the time which is why I try to use both forms in the description box wording :) sending you so much love and hugs x

EVY is the best! I have not gone back since! I never have to reapply rain or shine! EVY might seem expensive at first, but since you don't have to reapply it ends up working out cheaper than any other cheaper sunscreen which you have to reapply every two hours!!! I never have to reapply even when exposed to full bright sunlight I've found. I know this because I wear tretinoin so my face is really sensitive to light even on really cloudy days with the highest spf level of sunscreen indoors my face still burns and goes red at the end of the day, but since I've started wearing EVY I can even go out and not get burnt at all!!! So it's been literally 2 years since 2020 when I saw lab muffin recommend it that I'been wearing EVY sunscreen and never looked back! In fact it even makes my make up(foundation) look less patchy on occasions that I wear makeup! I wear EVY as a base, but also sometimes I put it on top of the foundation additionally when the foundation looks patchy and it immediately resolves the texture issue as it has vitamin e and is hydrating! Mind you I have extremely high problem skin as I have cystic acnes all year round which is why I wear tretinoin so if you have acne prone skin which is oily and dry due to heavy acne treatment this will still work for your skin type!

Never subscribed to anyone on KZread but i am offically a subscriber! Absolutely adore your content and am always excited when a new vid comes out. I have tried LRP anthelios 50, Garnier Anti Age Super UV, LRP Effaclar Duo Spf, Avene Cleanance SPF, La Roche Posay Cicaplast SPF, LRP antishine spf and Heliocare to name a few and I always struggle with texture, too white, too greasy, the product pilling, but I have just found a product from Ecran Sunnique Antimachas SPF and it is the best sunscreen I've ever tried and comes in under €10. Would love to know your thoughts on it! Thanks for all the amazing content 💛

I'm been dipping my toes into other SPFs Neutrogena Invisible defense 60+ is nice, Banana Boat Light as Air is also nice but does sting my eyes. LPR Milk Shaka bottle, very pricey in the states ($38)and I'm not impressed. I'm not walking around like Casper the Ghost 👻. I hope you had a Tangible Thrusday 🥰

Evy is amazing. I always purchase the children's version. It's a larger can for a similar price!😜

What about Ultrasun?

La Roche-Posay Mexoryl 400 reigns supreme! Did you know UV-A rays penetrate so deeply they even bounce from your cheekbones and penetrate back to the surface? They're damaging our skim twice! And don't forget to seek shade and avoid going out during peak hours (11-15)

@@MadAboutSkin I noticed my skin improving just by wearing sunscreen daily. Probably because our skin can deal with intrinsic (fancy second language wording!) healing when not having to bother with dealing with damaging sun exposure.

I like that sunscreen but hate the price. For those tiny bottles what they charge is criminal. And maybe it is a tad better in UVA coverage than P20 or Altruist, but it’s probably barely so that it doesn’t justify the massive cost IMO. A PPD of 50 or so is probably good enough for most people.

What about the facial Spf50 sunscreen from Ocean Australia! What is the UVA protection value?

Since last year I start Using Asian and EU sunscreens and my skin is glowing now and hyperpigmentation is better. I like Asian for indoors and winter time and I love EU for outdoors and spring / summer time, so many good ones 😍 they are expensive in LATAM but it’s worth it

I have the P20 kids on application i have to add a little water to separate it a little as it leaves me looking a bit white with a yellow tint otherwise.. have you not found this ? Also it does contain olive oil and other oils it's definitely not that light weight 🤷

Which ones can i buy from the US?

Hi as an esthetician myself. Nothing is more important for me than sunscreen. I can't count how many I have in my bathroom cabinets at the moment 😅 always looking for something better. I have melasma, and therefore always looking for tinted sunscreen even tho I actually hate tinted sunscreen. But what can I do. I am very happy with hello sunday, sun primer. Tho that one doesn't have a tint. But I am not sure about the uva rating? Anyone knows? Can't find anything. At the moment I am using the primer and then tinted sunscreen over. Also looking for more information about layering chemical and mineral sunscreen together. I saw reasontly people mention that it's not a good idea. 😕 Sadly because I used make prem and then color science a while. I wanted to try the bliss one, but uva rating is only 3 + right? 🥰

I live in Asia and my friend's skin did not love the P20 at all. She has dry skin but the P20 was so oily and felt heavy on her skin throughout the day.

I find the P20 kids too rich for my face as I have oily acne prone skin since it contains several oils, but works really well for my body

Hi can you link the independent testing of the altruist?

I think the ppd of the evy mousse is 45 or higher, (5 stars= 90 % or higher uvapf of the stated spf). So 0,9 x 50 = 45!

@@jayedwardsuk5984 I use Evy face 30 all year round but if I know I will be spending the day outdoors, such as a day at the beach, then I use the race 50. Takes a bit of getting used to using but it is very good.

@@jayedwardsuk5984 try the face 30. It’s only a bit tacky for about 10 minutes then dries down, also protects for about 8 hours so no need to reapply. I actually found that after a few weeks it helped to balance out my skin oil. I do use a light moisturiser under and a serum first but then I am quite old 🤣. Use a small amount to begin with until you get to know how much is enough for your skin type whilst still getting good protection.

Hiya Rob, I've been working on my spf lately, I found the face fluid is awful under makeup. I'm really liking the anti redness one by alturist! Just like makeup and I also like the normal alturist. What are your thoughts? Xxxx

Haha this is the opposite of my experience as I love the face fluid but hated the colour correcting one lol.. goes to show all our skin is different.. the pigment correcting one has amazing UVA protection too so if it works for you keep on using it hun.. love you xxxxx

Have you tried Supermarket brand sunscreens? Sainsbury's or Tesco?

I love the Tesco one though its a little heavier than some others, the best on the market are the cien ones form Lidl.. love x

Man my skin needs alot of sunscreen to cover the area i couldn’t not equally distribute the sunscreen equally in my face I need like 30ml at least to cover face and neck and hands and my arms because my skin absorbs it immediately also a bottle 100ml last me for 3 days if i cover my whole body with sunscreen since clothing do not provide protection against uv i use upf clothes from amazon but i don’t think they really are that since it’s not tested by any companies to verify that
