I am from Brazil and I think you're right. Portugal and Brazil in this case is more like a relation between the population, we speak the same language, there are so many families in brazil who have relatives in Portugal, and generally we get very well togheter. But if you are looking for an ally that includes political events, the ancient history and other things which bring more about the government, that's correct to choose the brits. But anyway I love Portugal and The U.K (I've never found someone from Wales in especific).

Our relations with the US are like South Vietnam and South Korea in the cold war, arming us to indirectly fight their wars. At this point Serbia is a much trustworthy ally than the US who only acts only in their own interests. Of course the US is a strong military and economical power, but let's not forget whose manpower we used in Afghanistan when they had problems with the terrorists and America pledged to ''help'' them.

Funny that Japans only “official” ally is the USA.

I'd say Liechtenstein's best ally is Switzerland because, ever singe leaving the German Confederation they relied on Austria-Hungary with importing goods, but ever since they broke up after ww1 and Austria was week, they then relied on Switzerland as they were fine from being neutral. Also Liechtenstein and Switzerland both aren't EU members, but are both of the European Free Trade Association along with Iceland and Norway. And with borders, you can walk right from Liechtenstein to Switzerland with no problem, no border control, no passport of visa, but with Austria there's border control and you need a passport.

Not surprised about Bulgaria. Romania and Bulgaria are very similar in many ways. Historically we were one nation a long time ago. Sole current difference imo is the language. The peoples are literally the same.

It's like, you know, in Russia we also have some sort of idiots who just hate Germans saying: - Soviet Union fought against Germany and you offer to forget about that? I usually reply to that as: - Soviet Union fought against Nazis, not against German people. If you really think that our enemies were Germans, you're not better than those our ancestors fought against. I kinda understand you, cause when I studied at school I also was maximalist and divided countries into good and bad. Currently I can do that only if I want to troll somebody, but that's another issue 😅 What I can say you, if your hate is sincere, man, that's not cool, but you'll grow over that eventually, just a nature of time. But again, hating country or nationality isn't cool.
