Thanks for the informative content! I had applied for my EAD about 6 months back and hoping it to come through in the next few months. I want to confirm the following- I think staying on H4 gives one access to the in-state tuition fees while converting to F1 means international tuition would be applied. Am I missing anything?

But one issue with staying in h4 is the uncertainty of h4 ead and it’s dependcy on your spouse i140 approval

My partner applied for his perm and he might get his i140 soon. So can I work on h4 ead then convert to H1B if an employer sponsor me? Im trying to work on IT corporate companies. I have 4yrs exp in India. will employers sponsor H1B?

May be you know, what about medicine insurance for h4 visa? We can not get a medical insurance like h1b holder with ssn. Can you explain? Thanks 😊

Actually you should be covered as dependent under your spouse medical insurance

Minor spelling mistake in passport for Father's name, is that going to be any issue...it's like 'Acbde' instead of 'Abcde'...any issues during visa stamping, especially for a new H4 visa.

Hello Yashwant, SJSU does not give any scholarships. The avg monthly cost is around 600-800$ based on your lifestyle. SJSU is way better than UTD.

Hello Nitin your videos are quite informative. I’m currently pursuing master’s degree in NYC and thankfully I’ve received EAD that permits to work on H4 Visa. I’d like to know how can we engage our parents who travel on tourist visa? For them life seems unfulfilling and I would want to know how can they occupied through social engagement in an Indian community specially in Upper East Manhattan. Thank you!

Hi Pallak, do you mind sharing the wait-time to recieve your EAD? I had applied for my EAD about 6 months back and hoping it to come through in the net few months. Also, did you start your masters on H4 itself or did you convert to F1? I think staying on H4 gives one access to the in-state tuition fees while converting to F1 means international tuition would be applied. Am I missing anything? Hey , How many months it will take for H4 visa holder to get h4 ead approved?? Actly my husband travelled last month , I have h4 visa but I don't want to lose my job here in India that's why I am asking them for a 2 months break or work from there. Is your husband’s I-140 approved?? Then you can apply EAD and it takes three to seven months!

If they give through gift cards is that ok for h4?

If i have pending h4 visa, can i go volunteer opportunities? Because my husband got i140 after that my visa expired now i applied h4 visa status pending.

I dont think this is the best advice out there. It might be mainstream advice definitely not for everyone. I think you need deeper understanding of what H4 dependent people want. This is too generic
